  1. Sounds like you had no problems with the lakers....which is the reason I'm jealous of you hahaha. Good stuff and nice barge
  2. The Drumrel. Drum and pickerel. Wait for it................
  3. Try a large size clack n rap. Good average for me so far.
  4. Rumor round north Bay is Nipissing is going to a 2 walleye limit this winter. If your looking for a cheap ice shack, its time to buy. I'm not sure how credible my sources are, but this seems like a natural progression from all the resource meetings happening lately. Doesn't bother me too much as I mostly enjoy catching walleye for fun, but this would certainly have an affect on fishing tourism in the area. Anyone else hear about this?
  5. Re: swammers. Agreed. Very versatile. Works great on a jig head for lakers, pike, walleye and bass. I also mirror the sentiments about slammers on drop shot
  6. If its the one in his backyard, then yes! When I first joined OFC, he kindly invited me to his place and even let me take his tinny out a couple times on my own. I caught a few nice smallmouth and missed some huge crappie on his lake. Just like you, he showed me TONS of tackle and gear! His best gear is at his shop at the 400 flea market. Tackle n Trails... I hear he gives good deals to OFC members too (whistling)
  7. That's not so small! Nice catch. Michael is a great gentleman indeed
  8. I'm going with whitefish. If they were big fish, probably pike or walleye. Pretty small lake your talking about, not likely to hold Lakers at only 40fow. On the lake I've been recently fishing, aprroximately the same size and depth, it holds pike, walleye and whitefish. We've trolled across the main basin a few times with no luck... Sounds a bit like your situation, and I'm guessing that my whitefish would be found in the main basin with pike cruising around them.
  9. Sounds like a great day! Too bad that big bass kept eluding you
  10. ya, that's awesome. Pike n salmon lures galore.
  11. What a comeback haha. Dropshotting might be TSN turning point for you sons fishing career!
  12. Welcome and well done on those PB's for you and your son.
  13. Great photos and catches. Its nice to get into a walleye feed or two. I'd say two or three pounds for that pike.
  14. Looked like a great time! Fishing with mike is on my bucket list too
  15. Very happy for u nick. Make sure you buy him a tiny floater suit for the nipissing g2g this winter...

  17. Ok, you'll never catch using LOL, but... LOL!!!
  18. your family is ALL smiles Even with walleye-spine cuts on their hands. Sounds like this place is a family tradition in the making. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Great, entertaining report Brad. Welcome to the wacky world of fish over 4 inches I got a good laugh at the second photo, where you completely missed the fish in the shot.haha.
  20. Excellent! Those brookies are a-maz-ing!
  21. I care. Without hockey, my cable service is completely useless.
  22. "caching" is very common up here. I had no idea it was illegal... if the crown ever puts out a bounty on stashed boats I could quit my day job
  23. Great catch! Did you keep it for dinner?
  24. Wow! That brookie is huge. Agreed with Davey, it's a vacation destination for me as well.
