Rich we use something real similar for the perch on Erie only we hand tie our own #4 or #6 hooks and bait with lake shiners, usually do three hooks max. When the perch are really on the feed we will catch a lot of doubles and even a triple occasionally
  3. LOL Dan I'd probably move to Thunder Bay and eat macaroni's with ya
  4. Good deal Jr LOL Rodger on the pj's Corey don't get any ideas about bringing bananas in my boat, same goes with your dad

  7. Congratulations on your new career
  8. I agree with Joey on this one, you showed a lot of restraint. I'm not so sure I would have been able to the same. A few years back on another popular lake in Ontario I had been fishing a point of an island three straight evenings and had something very similar happen by the same jerk all three nights. I had my son with me all three times and he even said to me the second time it happen how dangerous it was, well the third night and the third time the guy came through I lost it and went after him, my boat was a lot bigger than his and a lot faster so when I caught up to him I ran circles around him until he stopped and proceeded to have a talk with him. He informed me that he had every right to run his boat where ever he wanted that I shouldn't have been there in the first place (he was referring to me as a non citizen). Well I could clearly see this guy was a complete idiot and away I went. The next couple of days I went out of my way to make passes (in a safe distance) near where he sat while he was fishing his favorite spot and each time I would just wave as I went past. I wasn't very proud of what I did in front of my son but I didn't like watching the guy hold onto his boat for dear life everytime I went by him. What I don't understand on the West Arm is why people feel the need to run WOT under the 64 bridge, I've seen it multiple times each time I've been there and last year a guy came through there in about a 26' boat WOT with three us fishing the area, one of the people I believe was a relative of Uncle Bucks and I thought for sure the guy was going to either hit them or swamp their small boat. Is this not a no wake zone?
  9. Glad this story wasn't about losing a digit.... I still haven't gotten over that fiasco
  10. Jason I was pretty tick off when they traded Josh myself, I would have like to seen him stay and the Reds shipped off a texan instead.

  15. Most of Rice Lake is only six foot deep and shallower to begin with not to say that there isn't deep water because there is, a lot off the islands will have deeper weed beds off off them that don't quite reach the shallower water that will hold LM, smallmouth and walleye. Just my opinion but I really don't see the need to fish any deeper than six foot for the LM on Rice, now the smallmouth are a different story although they can be caught out of shallow water also early and late. Good Luck!
  16. Gracias Raf yo necesito una risita buena hoy Los calzones de JP están apagados el gancho Adios amigo

    Minnesota.

Awesome photos Dan. I think the drive along the north shore in both directions from you is one of my favorites
  20. Davekfl it was probably just your turn, random check. Don't take it personal, I've crossed mutiple times a year the last few years at different crossings and there all different, some good some not so good going either way, their just doing their jobs. The heavier crossing are the most prone to get a full search in my opinion. All you can do is have all the proper paperwork be polite and answer all the question and hope for the best. Good luck in your future travels. Cheers
  21. Thanks Roy Holdfast I feel the same way about our northern neighbors. Dawg keep granny's medicine away from the fireworks Have a good one!
