  1. Paul, how many times do you need to be told? CLIP YOUR PFD ps. Check your pm
  2. It's called BLING Skip. My first piercing. Actually Dave, I am here for OFC Group Therapy/Rehab "My name Simon and I am a fishaholic.................." Now that would HURT Vince.
  3. Yep, fought with the crew to stay on the water for another hour. It was only 0700!!! It's tough out there Chris. Temps and fish are scattered. The Outlaw did lose a potential derby qualifier though. He horsed it to the stern still full of P&V and it bolted under the boat. Prop cut the leader. Apparently. Never caught a thing until today. I now know Lew. Next time pliers!!! Tangled spoon (still under downrigger load) with wire dipsey Frankie Rob, we were debating to leave it in for 'dramatic' effect/faster service at the walk in. Ended up using the bolt cutters on board. Not any more!!! My 'wound' pales in comparison to yours Joey. Actually it didn't hurt much as it was in between skin & bone. Removal was a different story!!!!!! Subject post edited Roy. Actually didn't think it was too bad but your right, some people are squeamish. So I pm'd Mercman a whole bunch of photos . Wonder if his keyboard will still work.
  4. Well, I got 2 hrs until the clinic opens so thought I'd do a quick post. But I can only type one handed so I'll let the picture speak for itself. Slayer
  5. Damn now I need a new alias. Good to meet you D. Best wishes to y'all tomorrow. KICK CANCERS ASS Slayer aka Survivor
  6. Sounds like a case for JUDGE JUDY. http://www.judgejudy.com/submit_your_case
  7. Hey All, Is anybody in the Mississauga/Streetsville area heading to the event tomorrow? I have six of these (from Clam Corp) that need to get to Ryan or Dan....!!!!! The folks @ UPS messed up but I will have these available for pick up after 2:00 pm today.
  8. You'll definitely want/need one of these release clips with the Sharks: http://www.coldwatertackle.com/blacks-downrigger-release-clip These will not interfere with the fin (vs. walker & scotty release clips) Slayer
  9. Wind enough braid to cover the base of the spool to prevent slipping (metal on metal). Don't forget to run out your wire under load (dispey only on 3) at least 600 ft and retrieve without releasing the dispey clip. This helps to tighten your wire on the spol and prevent kinking. Always let your wire out gradually under load when deploying tackle to avoid tangles. Here's you knot http://www.lotsa.org/Wire%20Line%20Knot.htm
  10. I would agree with RK. I run both Shark & Torpedo and can't say if Shark is worth the premium. Know and fished with a lot of others on LO and never seen a Ridgeback on a boat Slayer.
  11. Yep. Got to agree with Bob. There is defined thermocline as of about 2 weeks ago and the salmon have found their preferred temp zones. All the big boys & girls are hitting between 42 & 46 F during daylight hours. That said, they will move into warmer water to feed @ dawn & dusk. This big blow will definitely scatter them for a few days until the TC settles back in. Slayer
  12. I am heading for safe haven on Sturgeon Lake on Saturday
  13. I will get there Mike. Realistically, it's looking like October.
  14. You could still give Simon his introduction but make sure you bring a bucket on board . Would make for an interesting Limey report. Unfortunately Roy, the 'Ontario East Buoy' forecast/data looks no better. The winds have already shifted to easterlies here this morning and if the Sailflow forecast holds (and they're pretty darn accurate historically) with sustained easterlies through Saturday, we are in for some major 'fetch' winds/waves. Might be Sunday until the lake settles down. An FYI for those who might not be 'in the know'. Roy's numbers above are in knots (K). 1 K = 1.852 km/h. Here's some info on 'fetch' winds/waves: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fetch_%28geography%29

  16. Stand corrected. But I blame the Internet
  17. http://math.about.com/library/blcompoundinterest.htm
  18. Guess again...... Compounded interest = $ 28,293.14 Total amount paid = $ 46,293.14 Slayer,
  19. You might want to pm whiskeywizard. He knows a thing or two besides the whisky. Slayer
  20. I don't mean to pooh pooh on your day, but you might want to call them and find out what they charge for each fish caught (you have to keep them all). My admin took her children to a trout pond last summer and it turned into a $100 day for 2 adults & 2 children. That's a lot if your not expecting it. Sorry, just don't want you to be shocked at the final cost. Slayer
  21. There are a few boat salvage yards within a 90 minute drive out your way Skip. Might be worth the roadtrip.
  22. And while you're at it Paul, you can 'scratch' 9/27 off the list
  23. I could tell the secret, but then I'd have to kill you...
  24. OMG Paul. I think we finally met?? I'm never riding the GF's Harley again!
