  2. Specifics in the title/subject line. I have one/two open seats. Will be going solo irregardless. You will need your PCOC, fishing license of course and a GOSD ticket would be a bonus (but not required). If your interested, PM your cell & email addy before noon tomorrow (Wed Aug 8). Weather is looking very favorable with light winds. No tackle required. Simon
  3. Haha! Merci mon ami That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll post the picks later.
  4. Thx Chad. They were cleaned/gutted within a half hour of being caught. Iced and vacuum sealed and in the freezer same day, so I'm hoping they taste as close to fresh as possible. Believe it or not, I can't remember having ever eaten speckies, so I just want to make sure any ingredients don't over power the taste of the meat. Looking for simple and yummy. Anybody else? Jacques?
  5. Morning All, Junior brought a few of these back from LimberLost and I'm looking for suggestions as to the best way to prepare and cook these for dinner this evening. Jacques, are you out there???
  6. Best wishes Paul. I'll be toasting a root beer in your honour today!! Your good friend, Simon
  7. These guys do some incredible editing. Following is underwater footage of salmon strikes on LO.... Unfortunately, I can't seem to embed the video (copyrights) but it is for sure worth watching They have other similarly excellent footage as well. Enjoy
  8. So there's something wrong with that?
  9. X2 X3 X4 Shouldn't this thread be moved to 'Announcements'???
  10. If you're close to MacTier, you should check out Stewart Lake. Some big, big, REALLY BIG PIKE in there.
  11. If that's where this fish are, then that's where you target Paul. Good advice as mentioned in other posts, 'don't horse the fish to the surface' and 'pause on your retrieve with sufficient drag'. Chances of a successful release (if required) are exponential. IMHO
  12. So by definition, am I still poor until I get a 35 ft'r?? JK!!!
  13. Thanks Roy Darren, Here's the links: http://www.spoonpullers.com/ http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing/index.php Enjoy
  14. I think/hope Bill was being sarcastic?
  15. You really should join spoonpullers Darren if your serious about LO salmon. All the answers are readily available in detailed forums/sub forums. You may also want join Lake Ontario United. I'd post the links but I think that might be disrespectful here. There is a ton of information. You just need to look for it. Good luck, Simon
  16. Good point/question Joseph! The above post was from another thread today. Curious to hear from the 'Musky Hunters' here. Is there time when shutting down the musky hunt makes sense to avoid mortality due to temperatures??
  17. Lew, If ya like, I'll call Steve @ JB tomorrow to confirm he has them in stock. He is 10 minutes fom my plant. Cliff & Sue are visiting here fore the weekend and I'm sure they could find room to haul them back to Sturgeon. If you got a SKU/product # and quantity that would be helpful. Simon
  18. PRICELESS :thumbsup_anim: Oh, and that near miss??? Very scary :whistling: Slayer
  19. Good advice. I'll have set on board before the next outing You did it twice Terry? Actually, I have to take the rest of the week off Whisky. Sure was Tybo wouldn't of made a difference Dave. Just a dumb mistake on my part. The happy ending..
