  1. Finding good discontinued baits usually ends up being pricy ..I .always hold out for hopes of finding a tackle shop with a bargain bin of discontinued gems ..
  2. ^^^ lol well put. I especially enjoy the last paragraph!
  3. Honestly, plastic baits end up being the most expensive at the end of the day. Pretty much $10 for Yama Senko's , and I can go through 2-3 packs a day. So at the end I'm left with no lures. Otherwise , buchertails or vision 110s Is where I draw the line, and even they hurt to buy...
  4. ^^^ ahahahahahaha that's exactly what I pictured !
  5. Hey Huck, Why don't you stick to chicken nuggets instead ? I must have forgot your response, after all i'm brain dead Anyhow, when you sit down beside the marsh to enjoy your grimey little frog legs, be careful not to lose the only tooth you have left : you'll need that to open your beer can ! Best advice you will ever get. Sincerely , Mark
  6. Man look at that last pic...that's insane.

    Mend-it

Mend it gets the nod from me. Crazy how you look at it, and are like "nah how the fack is this going to work, no way!" But it does I think Gagnons has it PK?
  8. The next time you head out, just make your mom play and land any sturgeon you hook into! Sucks about the knee, but doesn't seem to be stopping you from doing what u love . Good job man
  9. It's a mass produced reel, others do have it. It's not as common to see locally per se, but it's not exclusive/rare. But if you like the colour and enjoy knowing where it was sourced from , it's a no brainer. Price after all said and done isn't bad Buy it !
  10. Absolute pain. Shipping prices in Canada vs USA is obscene. I think I used to ship UPS , but it's been a while. A strong schedule 40 abs is durable as hell , but costs more (a lot more). Lol forklifts are heavy, have short wheel bases, and weight displacement/transfer is different then an automobile that is equiped with shocks and tires! lol so I can't say it will withstand that, but you can definitely drive a sedan over it! As stated by spiel and others-pack the but and tip with bubble wrap , and in a few other places throughout the length of the rod. You want it to have no movement up or down/side to side , aside from what the bubble wrap affords, BUDD.
  11. Take your worm and fish. If you are in an area where you see bass redds, leave and move on. There are tons of opportunities for in season fish in lake o while casting an earthworm that don't involve OOS species. There are way more species eager to hit that are in season vs OOS. Fish my friend, but be respectful of our resources.
  12. It depends on what you are buying, and if it's exclusive to Japan. There's been a ton of overlap lately , and many reels are now available here. Depending on reel model, it might not make sense due to warranty and price. There are several sites online that will guide you in the right direction on pretty much any reel, including the scorpion you're asking about. In your case, I'd say buy a curado 70 on sale locally, unless you want the colour difference. Thankfully, many usdm and JDM reels share similar parts , especially mechanically. Good luck !
  13. This is common. Blame it on go-getter wanna be a holes who don't need a break, or let vacation days expire to prove their loyalty. It's an unwritten law now- adapt or be left behind
  14. ^ he deleted his little statement / post. He will continue with his business, and is expecting this to blow over. When the heat cools down, he will go back to ripping people off.
  15. There's even a nice response from the owner of the company. He pretty much says he doesn't know what he's doing. And yet, he will still be offering his customers the best work he is capable of!
  16. This new video seems suspect to me, 1 week turnaround to redo and beef up that rotted transom? I dunno... However , I feel the original video and person is authentic, and I also believe that the rebuilder is a crack-head!!!
  17. Man I'll take the before picture and $4000 What is unexplainable is the screws through the hull. Even the crappy cuts, how much harder is it to take a little extra to complete the cuts properly ? I mean the boat was junk before, but come on. Take the extra day towards the quality , and charge him $200 more . How you could let that leave your shop like that is beyond me. The screws through the front really give me no sympathy to trimmed out.
  18. Hahahah I wonder how many times this video has been emailed to him through his kijiji ad !
  19. ^^^^ ahhh ok gotcha, makes sense with his opening statement and lack of rant lol . It was early lol
  20. Ya im interested to hear the story about when you picked it up ? I assume he was not there, and left it outside for you to pick up I watched it with sound. Royal pee off I'm mad for you
  21. How much did u pay? What exactly did u have them do? I watched the video but with no sound wife's asleep Nice oversized screws for the latches lol
  22. Time to start fishing carp in the ditches !
  23. 6-6'6 m xf If using croix , feel the rod out as they can be stout in those ranges. You won't be happy with a F unless u like that tip pop and microsecond loss of connection with your bait (vertical jigging). I don't mind it though.
  24. I will agree that it has its place as a multi species lure, however most times it gets wacked by bass due to timing imo. Other than a jigging spoon, I would steer clear of spoons in most lakes for bass as there are far more productive baits . That's an opinion though...
