Hi all, Thanks for all the advice and debate folks. Quite the journey deciding what to get. Started off looking at Bearcats...Yammies and Skidoos. Liked the Skidoos....liked the Skidoo 4 stroke 600ACE engine. Thought about a Tundra Longtrack, a bit too tippy with the narrow ski stance. Thought about an Expedition Sport, wider ski stance. Got to thinking about power and after listening to a few folks here and elsewhere decided it might be a bit underpowered for either of the above models( particularly thinking about getting through slush with passenger and 300lb+ flip up shelter) Was liking the idea of long and wide track, just not convinced the 600ACE would suffice. Looked at the next Expedition up with the 1200cc 4-Tech ....looking good. Got some positive feedback about it from some members on here and a good fishing buddy.... sourced one in Winnipeg.... got a relatively good deal... finance now in place..... pick it up on Thurday with a new Triton aluminium trailer. Looks like i will have to wait at least another 5 years for my quad....but oh well...at least i will have a nice ride for 4 months of the year. Got back from winterpeg an hour ago.....on the road all day....the BEAST is in the driveway....can't wait to give her a spin down the road. Pics in the am. MY NEW RIDE

Thanks Fang, My buddy is filling his deer ttags quickly....he just bought a really good $800 grinder, that looks like a good way to keep him chewing in the boat so he can't talk my ears off! -

Good luck Jacques....at this rate you might be looking at another name change already -
Hi Y'all. Think the boat needs to get winterized this week if i can thaw out the hose pipe long enough to fog the motor.....lol. Headed back to LS for a final kick at the can. Was expecting a much better bite....was not to be. We got our limit of nice 17" fish, but the bites, though aggressive, were at least half an hour apart. Marking lots on the bottom....not much moving. Water temp was still a respectable 47F at the surface, but it was blowing a blizzard and -8C on the way out and did not go above -2C all day. Cliff missed a rough grouse on the way out....lol...even they were hunkered down! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/N-dkx66X2Ls" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

So sorry for your loss Paul. -
Yup.....try this link to a post i did when i got my Otter 3 years ago. MY OTTER OUTDOORS 3 MAN FLIP UP SHELTER Although the material seemed flimsier than the Top of the line Frabil at the time it had more leg room out front. I went for the bench seat because my wife was expecting and i thought the bench would be better set up for small kid. I chose the Otter because the sled part of it was just way sturdier and deeper.

Hi all, Good fall bite this afternoon, all 30' to 45' FOW on jig and slip bobber with 4" to 6" minnows. Also got a few birds on the way in. Rained almost all day, but was around 10C with little to no wind....i'll take that for a day in late October ! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/V0de72Ierb0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Ok...with your input ecmilley i am swaying towards getting the big beast again. The reason i am interested in these is because 2 seasons ago we got our quad stuck on the melting snowmachine trail to a lake and a wide track bearcat pulled us out with the quad sitting inside the sleigh....i was impressed. -

Thanks man, actually the other sleds I am considering are the tundra or skandics. Cold starts seem to be a recurring issue in reviews and forum discussions about the Bearcats. -

Thanks for the input. Exactly my thoughts on the getting stuck. I have the funds for either model. I am going back to the dealership today to have another look. -
Just looking for input....thinking about it....maybe too heavy? I am just so torn at the moment. We only have 2 dealers here in Dryden.....one i refuse to do anymore business with (the $%$#@# really ripped me off once after i spent $12000) and the other one is Artic Cat. I am leaning towards the latter because of warranty work if it needs doing its local.

Yup life is good Rick. Your shore fishing should be going insane right about now eh? GRAFFITI!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I picked up a whole black garbage sack full off garbage from there the other day. The Graffiti appeared in the last week. This is locals doing this...i even have an idea who but i dont know last names or where they live....but they will be challenged next time if i see them there...F$#@#ing BRING IT is what i say, these idiots dont deserve what they have up here...maybe they need to get out for a while...you know ...maybe go further than Ignace....then they might appreciate what they have...but i doubt it....YOU CANT FIX STOOPID.....BUT YOU CAN BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF IT TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL BETTER! Rant over.....

Hi all, Went for an hour by the shore again.......catch and released a couple of limits with a nice 20"er thrown into the mix. I think my pup likes fishing. I THINK I CAN SAFELY SAY MY PUP LIKES FISHING TOO <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/EtERiLGqYak" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
