  1. Agreed. At the same time they can charge what they want i guess, which makes me wonder how all the 5 gas stations here in our 'city' keep their prices the same and rise or fall at the same time....price fixing? oh wait...thats illegal and the goverment says it does not happen...i believe it if the government says it.
  2. Great report Joey. My son jack said " I think that lady got a monster fish tangled in seaweed" _

  6. GOOD NEWS Thanks for the info. Its a 2004 Grand Am GT auto transmission. Dont think it has an alarm. It sounds the horn when you press the red button on the key fob....but i dont think thats a 'fitted alarm'.
  7. Hi all, Just wanting some info on remote start keyless thingies. My plan is to get this for the wife for xmas. Wanting it to be a surprise, so if i install one of these can the car still be started with the original key so she would be clueless its installed untill i give her the keyless pushbutton thing on Xmas day? Not wanting to spend more than $200 on the unit itself....realise the cost of installing (+ extra relays ) will be more, but anyone recommend a brand/unit in that range? Thanks in advance.

  13. Hi All, Aint been out nearly as much as usual this past month....wife lost her job, got recalled...interviews, lost our full-time sitter.....windows and doors to fix...etc....etc...etc. Finally got some days in this week. FIRST EVENING JACK AND ME WENT SHORE FISHING UP THE ROAD WHILE MUM WAS DOING NIGHT SHIFT WE GOT 2 SMALLER ONES AND HAD A NICE SUPPER TOGETHER, HE IS A GREAT HELPER AND LOVES GUTTING THE FISH. NEXT EVENING MUM WAS WORKING AGAIN SO WE TRIED FROM SHORE IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE DID NOT CATCH A THING.....BUT IT WAS GREAT FUN ANYWAY. WE WATCHED THE SUN GO DOWN TOGETHER AND ROASTED SOME MARSHMALLOWS TO EASE THE SKUNKY FEELING A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER MY BUDDY AND ME HEADED OUT FOR WALLEYE, PICKED OFF A FEW BIRDS ON THE WAY IN. WAS A BEAUTIFUL FALL DAY, COMPLETE WITH BLUSTERY WINDS AND SHOWERS, BUT MAINLY SUNNY. THE FISH WERE DEFINITELY HUNGRY......BUT SMALL BUT WE GOT SOME NICE KEEPER SIZE AND A COUPLE OF 25"ERS+ NEXT AFTERNOON WHILE MUM AND JACK NAPPED I SNUCK OUT LOCALLY TO SEE IF THE TROUT WERE PLAYING......THEY WERE. ALSO MANAGED 2 30"ER WALLEYE WATCHED ANOTHER AWESOME SUNSET AS I STRAPPED THE BOAT TO THE TRAILER ON THE WAY OUT. SOME VIDEO OF THE ADVENTURES <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/YrDIszNcvgo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JW8IGoGUAo4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Fish all came from 30' - 48' FOW on both days out in the boat on 2 different lakes. Jigs and minnows (mostly 4 - 6" suckers/dace minnows) were the bait and tackle, straight jigging the presentation, good use of electronics helped locate them. 1st day was blustery wind and rain, next day was mostly sunny....wind was average 10kmh both days. Water temps were mid 50s at the surface. tight lines all!
  14. is all you need
  15. After getting some local knowledge and sifting through past reports on different forums , my buddy and me headed to Minnitaki for the first time. Its been on my list for a while but never seemed to get round to it. Advice from a local was 30' deep. Turned out to be 40' deep. Mid water reef/hump was the best spot. We had a few other spots recommended but there were always a few boats on those spots. We did get the odd fish elsewhere but very few. Wind had been strong from SW the past few days and we tried the windward side of points and islands....with limited success. Got a few smallies and pike when trying shallow...but no walleye. Wind was light to non existent all day except for 1/2 an hour in the morning. Slip bobber in 40' feet worked well in the mirror flat conditions out on the reef. Jigs and minnows, bottom bouncers with minnow/crawler all worked. We did try unsuccessfully for some lakers too, but as luck would have it seems I damaged my transducer when i pulled the boat off my trailer to fix the bunks.....DOH! We did have the trolling motor transducer but it was not getting a good signal either....kinda fishing blind yesterday. Went through the creek from Butterfly Lake into Lyons Bay....water levels are pretty low everywhere out there...but the creek is still passable with motor trimmed...no way you are gonna get through at speed...we chewed up the bottom with the prop a few times....thank goodness its a soft mud bottom. All in all a decent enough day....good numbers of fish...just pretty small. 40' seemed the number out there yesterday...although we did get some even deeper. Reel up slow ! 22. Have a great day Paul!
  23. Thats awesome Will. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, quality fish and Rod Stewart in the boat!
  24. Very finicky bite last night...again! Loads of fish on the screen behaving lethargically and aggressively but mostly unwilling to commit. Managed 3 over 25" and a couple keepers. My buddy cliff could not get a fish to bite...preetty frustrating for him....almost felt bad....almost...lol....i had to watch him the other day on another lake, so things balanced out! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-XdpW2j4wVo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  25. Thanks man....next stop 33"! That's awesome Mike.....yup...there was something in the air that night! Thanks Jacques...yup...have to get a drag setting i'm happy with.....but the big ones had me resetting my drag constantly. Thanks Chad, we went back the other day and it was quite the different story......for me at least.....the two lads i took out got a nice one each...i only managed 2 dinky ones...here are some pics from Friday evening. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES.....24 LITTLE HOURS!
