  5. Nice one Chad....glad you are also a Jigerr 'Prostaff' too.....lol.
  6. I love mine...on the ice and in the boat. No probs with picking up jigs in 100ft. On the ice make sure you have: 'Ping' and 'Chart' speed at maximum. In 'sonar options' from the menu...make sure 'manual mode' is on (you will see an 'x' in the check box when it is) Also in depths over 35' turn off 'surface clarity' completely, max the sensitivity and use 'X4' zoom option. Also try to always use the 'set upper and lower depth range feature' to your actual depth, this helps to get the max definition on screen. Always use split screen....dont wanna miss that laker cruising at 20' in 80' FOW! If you do get one you wont be disappointed. Here are a couple of vids from February and August this year that show my X67c in action on the ice and in the boat. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZKgd2p5nx-0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6g2owMY1Y6U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

  8. Got out later than i thought today....only had an hour as my trip to town turned into a bit of a farce(whole other story i wont go into ). jack felt the pressure too....for the first time ever he fell asleep all by himself....lol....with his lunch in his lap. With the lad and mum tucked up for an afternoon nap, I headed out. Lots showing on the bottom and suspended...but only one suspended pike wanted to eat today. Got back and dog was going nuts barking to go for a run...he likes chasing the snowmachine! KID WAS TOAST....TIME TO SNEAK OUT REALLY NICE RIDE IN ARRIVED WITH LESS THAN AN HOUR DAYLIGHT LEFT DOG WAS TOAST TOO AFTER CHASING ME DOWN FUN COUPLE OF HOURS <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BMvLVfwEGyk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Hopefully i will get into some fish soon, but not really that worried....just enjoying getting out. Cheers all. Si.
  9. Thanks man, will be getting out at least once this weekend.....cant wait. Thanks DB! Not long now Nick I feel your pain...the last 2 weeks have been torture! Thanks Ernie, cant wait to try it in deeper snow. I heard ya about learning how to adjust the articulating suspension...seems a bit fiddly...but after today it felt set up pretty good as is....no pushing in cornering....pretty much turn on a dime....such a huge difference from my skegless old XLT! Come on up....would be a blast. jack did a little happy dance round the living room when i asked if he wanted to go for a ride. Thanks Brian....whats wrong with my outerwear? Speedos are still in fashion right? Long time left breaking her in....but she is gonna fly....the torque on this thing is phenomenal! Thanks Joey......we have some good sleds eh? Awww....Rick....i never knew you felt that way about me. Thanks TJ....I got something in the mail that I will be trying out this weekend when i get out....more pics to follow.

  17. I was scared to do it for a long time....did not think i could. Used the patches and found it relatively easy (my wife would differ). Try the patches is my advice...there is a definite addiction to nicotine involved here....so this will help with the physical aspect of quitting. There is a mental aspect that is in my opinion the key to staying stopped. Keep it simple...remember a craving is just a feeling that will pass.....do whatever you have to do do distract yourself...even just telling myself this helps me to ride out the cravings. Its been a year and a half for me...i still crave them sometimes...but 99.999% of the time i dont even think about it....ITS AWESOME. GOOD LUCK....ITS WORTH IT. Oh...and another good thing...i have cash to spare for the first time in ages....the amount of new stuff i bought this year is amazing.
  18. It was kinda cool listening to the Goon here last night too. In bed listening to the ice boom in the dark is awesome.....I LOVE LIVING HERE!
  19. :thumbsup_anim: I know...the weather is nuts this year There is always one! Should have told him you were going fishing when he begged you to stay! Have not got the unit back from my bud yet....will do some time soon...just been hyper busy with the wife's new non existent schedule...she works when she works and we all have to adapt around it...oh well...at least we have jobs....lol! YEAH! A buddy of mine mentioned Sawbill for crappie....we are gonna have to meet up in the next couple of weeks me thinks. Cant wait to see your reports.....your gonna love it. (PS....get a 'graph' type fishfinder for the ice )
  20. Hi all, howdy from the the tropical wilderness of NW Ontario. Well.....not quite tropical....but definitely warmer and less snowy than is normal for this time of year. Anyway....got onto the ice for an hour and a bit this afternoon, a good 8" of ice on the small lake i went to, lots of little pike but no walleye. Certainly beats thinking about how i cant ride my new snowmobile! The ice was BOOOMING today....watched as cracks appeared right under my feet....scary as hell....but fun too. So...ice season is on from here on out....temps look set to resume normal service from now on....still not much snow in the forecast....but there should be enough on the lakes for slider and cooling purposes by this time next week. WAS GREAT TO GET BACK ON THE ICE <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/sX_ThpY-xjM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  21. ONTARIO INSURANCE IS A SCAM! I was paying the equivalent of $700 a year driving my brand new Ford Focus ( i think they are called ZX Focus here). I had 9 years no claims bonus. When i moved here, they would not recognize any of my drivers experience and none of my no claims, even though i provided a letter from my UK insurer confirming my driving record. Basicaslly saying i was considered a 'New Driver'....what a load of crap. They wanted to charge me over $3500 for my truck(canyon). I manged to convince the broker here to get someone to aknowledge 4 of my 7 years of my no claims bonus....but they would only consider it as driving experience towards a 7 year threshold when my rates would magically go down. RIP OFF
  22. Business as usual
