I'm gonna RANT! They gotta nerve really if you ask me! Since this overpriced stuff (which does work...but not as good as live bait as claimed in my experience) everybody has been complaining about the leaky containers. So what do they do...continue selling it in the same lousy container and charge you another $15 to store it properly....pretty clever really I'm peed off enough with Berkely for discontinuing Powerbait Micro tubes and replacing them with those Atomic Tickler thingymabobs (another way to charge you more for less if ya ask me) Oh well....looks good though....might have to invest(again) LOLOL.

Eagle are a subsidiary of Lowrance....the eagle cuda's for example are in exactly the same housing as the Lowrance X67c....just different features. So to answer your question...no....its not an X67c, but depending on which model Eagle it is it could be identical in everything but name. Sounds like someone packed a display model only got mistaken because the Eagles look exactly the same as the x67c...very strange. What model Eagle is it?
-
Hey motion, i have the x67c, its probably the transducer setting, but also check in 'sonar options' that you have the 'manual mode' box ticked if you have not already.

Great stuff Jay. Dayim....i have to drag my butt off to a good lake soon or i'll go nuts......baby keeping me pretty close to home recently. definitely good to have a few rods rigged as you say......it gets kinda cluttered in my little hut sometimes Real nice eyes....love the lipless rattlin bait in one pic......i have had a trout on mine so far...no walleye seem interested yet....but like the idea off ringing the dinner bell then tricking them to take the smaller hors d'oeuvre...very devious....I LIKE IT!

Hi All, Well its raining ice here today, so cant get anything done outside...let alone go fishing, house is clean...so just spending time with the young boy this morning....he's a real character! Was snapping pics of him goofing around and got these 2 this morning about an hour ago. Just thought the first pic was a classic, lol....that look......watch out ladies! Its just he needs to work on the pucker when going in for the kiss....lololol HE'S GOT THE LOOK NO PROBLEM MIGHT HAVE TO DO A LITTLE WORK WHEN MOVING IN FOR THE KISS....LOL
-
WOW....$160A MONTH...FOR A FRIGGIN PHONE!!! Do you not realise how many minnows that could buy you, then you could go out fishing without a damn phone bleeping at you all the time....just a thought.
-
lol...when it comes to fishing i'm the energizer bunny....lol.
-
Thanks JDS Yeah Jacques...it was awesome to get out with Erika again, and yup...those pike were stuffed to the gills with all the smelt in the Lake. Turns out the Ling was full of eggs. OK...i'll make sure i get some bleeps in on the next one Glen....lol LOL...i like you also get carried away in the moment Mike, dont always get it on film. LOL...you 'veggin' out again you old hippy!

Hi All, I'm very impressed with myself, managed to get this guy, definitely a PB for me....only thing is its a PB smallest ever that was not snagged or coughed up by a pike....lol. I cannot believe how aggressive this little guy was. I was out the front of the house on a supper mission(got some bigger for supper BTW) and was getting lots of 14-15" fish on the screen and biting . This little guy shows on the screen of my fishfinder...now anyone who has a LCD fishfinder on the ice wil know the scenario of the line making a sharp almost vertical run at your bait meaning GET READY TO SET THE HOOK...THIS GUY MEANS BUSINESS! He smacked it, actually felt the bite...lol....could feel it 'fluttering' on the way up but just thought it was my minnow as i had it hooked through the back at the dorsal fin.....lol...after a titanic struggle lasting 0.1 seconds i iced my PB smallest walleye ever. The minnow that was nearly as big as the fish was halfway down its throat, the hook not even in its mouth, which was good as that enabled me to let it go relatively unharmed. I really hope to meet up with that guy again some day 10 years from now, especially if he maintains that feisty attitude. WHAT A BEAUTY! TONS OF ATTITUDE IN A LITTLE BODY

Hi all, the weekend before last i got out with my wife for some fishing for the first time in over a year and a half. Cant wait till this summer now, young Jack is on the verge of taking his first steps without help, so boating should be a breeze with him.....and the way he lets me swing him around now.....he loves it....even my lowly 30hp should be just the kind of adrenaline filled rush activity he seems to enjoy. JACK DID NOT COME WITH US THIS TIME.....BUT HE GAVE MY AUGER THE ONCE OVER TO MAKE SURE IT WAS GOOD TO GO My buddy Lew and his wife Dot also joined us for the short snowmachine ride into Dore Lake. Lew had to use his 4x4 to get in, not the best idea....especially with the deep slush we hit , poor Dot got soaked on the way in, she was refusing to ride back with Lew so i made 2 trips on the way out.....LOL...we abandoned Lew to slug it through the slush in the dark on the way home. The day was nice and sunny but the wind was brutal, luckily we both had shacks, Lew managed to melt part of his with the heater though, and broke a ski off his homemade sled in the slush on the way in....we hoped that the fisahin would make up for that, and we'd done pretty well the last time we went with some nice fat 19" and 20" walleye as well as our regular keeper size. AFTER A FEW MISHAPS...OUR LITTLE VILLAGE ON THE ICE WAS SET UP. We set up on the break in 25' FOW, marking bait fish mid water, nothing fancy set up wise...just 1/8oz jigs and minnows. The stage seemed set for sun to start setting and the walleye to start biting. Well....didn't happen, i got 1 jackfish, my wife caught 2 small walleye (2 walleye more than me...she always outfishes me when we go for walleye) , Lew got a small walleye too and that was it. But the fishing did not matter, we had a laugh with our wifes being out with us , nice also that both of them love to be out on the ice, i know some guys whos wife's would never venture out on the ice. VIDEO OF OUR AFTERNOON ON THE ICE This weekend past Lew and Paul joined me on Big Sandy Lake to try for some Trout and Whitefish. I have done well on this lake a few times, but the last 3 trips were all skunking experiences for me, but i know when you get on the fish...its awesome on this lake....definitely worth another shot. Paul is working for the MNR at present and was doing some fish aging work....he netted that lake and also had high expectations for our day given the size of some of the trout that were in the nets. The day was looking good, weather a balmy +3C!!!! the sunrise that morning overlooking Wabigoon Lake whilst waiting at Pauls house was spectacular too. SPECTACULAR SUNRISE TO GET US UNDERWAY! We had a game plan, basically hit a mid water hump we know...drilling gradually down the slope, if nothing there head to the east shore to a spot i'd done well in, and if nothing showed there, try a point at the southeast tip. We ended up having to move to all three spots. The fish were not biting at all today, we met 2 other people out there and they were having the same experience that day. Well, the whitefish and trout were being shy, but we moved from the first spot because we were being pestered by pike all morning, and there was sooo much smelt swimming around i'm convinced it messed my x67c up, could not get it going well at all , and it worked perfectly the next day on Thunder lake when i took the kids at work out for some trout. Anyway, we tried everything and every combination of lure and bait for the two species, i was the only person to connect with a whitefish...although i lost 2 at the hole. I also had a trout nose my tube jig for about 5 minutes before dissappearing off my screen never to be seen again....lol. All good fun, pike and a FAT ling saved the day! PIKE WERE THE ORDER OF THE DAY

Damn...missed this post. anyway...happy 'belated' Bernie!

limeyangler replied to The Urban Fisherman's topic in General Discussion
I was wondering when Avery would finally drag you out.....lol As per usual a priceless report. Wow...what an awesome fishing partner you got, i'll say it again....cant wait to get my boy out there. Love the pics...the kiss is superb...but i must be getting old as it took me a while to actually see the perch in your waterproof piccy....lol...must replace the lens in my monacle. Love your reports Ryan.....keep 'em coming. Simon -
I'm with Jacques...cant get much better than that. Loving the whitefish reports coming in now....one of my favourite fish to catch through the ice along with Lakers. Thanks for the report....just loading the snowmachine and gear now and heading off in about an hour for whities and trout myself....hope i can do as well as you guys.
-
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME BILL! I'm heading out in the morning with whities being the target...your report has me really pumped now. done miserably the last 2 attempts at this lake....but when you do find them its awesome on this lake...lots of big lakers too....hopefully i'll find 'em like you guys did.

LOL...i'm a lucky man...never had to sneek out before. I did once have to pretend i was going fishing though when i wasn't....lol. Last march my wife's friends were havinbg a surprise baby shower for her...i had to think of an excuse that was beleivable to get out of the house without her and help set up. Going fishing was believable....only prob is, because it was March i had to put the snowmachine on the trailer, flip over shack in the truck...the whole works...even left the house wearing my Sorels and bib pants....carrying a cooler full of minnows! She was kinda pissed that i was being that devious... lol

Excellent! !st fish of the year is sweet....dont matter what or how big. I hear ya about fish that are shy of commitment....they need relationship therapy...they need to learn to love that hook. Good job Jacques now stop whittling sticks (although they are great looking lures) and get out some more!
-
Good job, sounds like conditions were tough, so all in all a solid effort man!
-
Nice work Skud...i was simalarly thinking i let supper go the other dsy too, but i got a couple 18-20" right at the end....not had one as nice as your supper yet though this year...great report. I also am lovin' the shad raps this year.
-
Yup...same Ministry....lol. I insisted she get the babysitter and come out...she needed the break even though she could not see it. We are lucky guys, some of my buddies cant believe how relaxed my wife is about me going fishing so often. Its gonna change drastically for me in a bout 2 months when my wife is off maternity leave and we are both working again..finally my son will get to know who i am....lol. next 2 days are repairs to the 'Taj Wabigoon....i've put a beating on it so far...need to patch the canvas in a few places already! Thanks Jacques..you could say you should never look a gift horse in the mouth, but i dont want my wife thinking i called her a horse....LOLOLOLOL....very bad idea. LOL...obviously not sharp enuff. Thanks JDS....how did you know i was Jewish?....lol I'm out saturday same as you....we'll be on Big Sandy....you'll be so close we'll probably hear each others augers.....lol Ya...missing your one shot in a day is the worst! THANKS JET...thats a cool idea. I'll give it a go for sure! You know what archie....me too! warts and all is how it should be....none of this 10 days edited into a half hour of supposed non stop action.
-
AWESOME EFFORT ANDERS! Top report man. Love those saddle bags for the dogs....i'm gonna have to get a dog and fit a bracket on him for my auger....lol. Thanks for sharing...i'm with Drifter about the snowmachine though!
