Looking to get a custom cover made for the bbq... don't need anything special, but it's just a huge bbq... anyone know where i could get one done? bbq size is 74"Lx27"Wx49"H I'm thinking the cover to be 86"x40"x52" just square, no tapers, curves etc must be waterproof, uv resistant etc.. etc... blah blah blah... bbq is stainless and will be left outside year round any help would be appreciated

change the impellor it's easy... unbolt the lower unit... drop it down... unscrew the impellor housing and remove it... pull off the old impellor put the new one on, make sure you get the key seated properly... then gently bend the impellor arms into the housing... tighten impellor housing down install lower unit back onto motor tighten screws... wvmedic is right the factory service manual is way better then an clymer or seloc it should take you less then half an hour...

The guy last year put the boat up for sale immediately after getting it... In my opinion it should be a lease/rental for 2 years then donated to a sick kids hospital or something like that... or provisions should be put into place so that the winner is unable to sell it/rent it to others... it really ticked me off where the guy was begging for people to vote for him then turns around and sells it... ethically/morally wrong on his side... my rant for the day

Awesome Bud!! Keep em coming!!

my opinion is if they paid more the $10, they were taken advantage of... 80W RMS is crap... an average fishfinder now has around 200+W RMS ( and i ain't talkin about a $1000+ lowrance either) never heard of JRC nor Dowsar Marine

I've got 2 humminbirds... MAtrix 17 and a 727... happy with both... Humminbird had a bad rep couple of years ago... price a lowrance with the same features, and it'll be nearly double...

i believe it's 25:1 that they recommend for these older johnny-rudes... Mercs are 50:1, but i run it with a little more oil, better safe then sorry... PM boatman, he's an expert/collector of the older johnny-rudes, he'll be able to tell you for sure....

Can a 14' tincan be cartopped on my Nissan pathfinder?
Uncle Buck replied to Victor's topic in General Discussion
Question is can you load it on top and unload it without killing your car... otherwise strap 2 4x4s to your roof rack and rachet the boat down... -
Has anyone launched their boat in Mountsberg? boat is a 14ft with a 40 on the back... I know it's an electric only lake, but we've got a bowmount on it... figure tilt the motor out of the water and run the bowmount... thanks

Good Luck Bud, I lost my wallet about 17 years ago, i still don't have a SIN card... luckily all that was lost was my library card, health card, and SIN card... and $5 (i was 13 at the time...) ever since then i do a wallet check constantly, i'm always patting my back pocket, almost looks as if i'm groaping myself...

Best way to Mount a Kicker Motor
Uncle Buck replied to Fishn Technishn's topic in General Discussion
clamp it and bolt it to your transom... if your transom can't handle the kicker on it, the kicker bracket will make it worse... there is a lot of moment on the kicker brackets... get a long shaft regardless, ensures it no coming out of the water in waves... -
baitrunner, and a downrigger rod if you're wanting to take it easy... if you wanna go hardcore... baitrunner/carp rod (2.75 TC)/pod/alarms/etc... as for bait... CORN, buy a 50lb sack at a feedmilll (under $10), that'll last you a long time with baiting... boiling corn only makes it easier to stick a baiting needle through... i use it hard and a mini drill by hand when the bite is off to pre drill the corn kernals... use a hair-rig, and get a feeder, learn to make method mix... (corn/birdseed/bread crumbs and water) it takes some getting use to figuring out how much to add so it falls apart in the water, but enough to stay on while casting... you're in London, try the Grand river... pretty much any water holds carp... Good Luck, you'll definitely enjoy

I'm sure you'd be able to camp at Port Maitland... We've stayed there many of times till the wee hours of the morning...

2 things to learn in Life 1. boat doesn't leak - True, inside a garage, no boat will leak 2. It ran the last time out - Obviously, cause no one is gonna take a motor out for a nice paddle ride... i've heard coating the inside bottom with the roll on truck liner helps stop leaks... but don't quote me on it...

i love to fish, but wouldn't eat a fish if you paid me...
