Ahh... talking about float suits and ice fishing... bring on the ice...

i read up on the ice rider series before i bought mine... they are designed to drain water quick once you get out of it... personally i'd go with a 1 piece... i've got a nautilus and love it...

I changed my cousin's impellor on his 96, 40HP evinrude this year, it was the frist time it ever came apart, we had to cut the paint when removing the lower unit... i'll say one thing though... a johnnyrude impellor is much better/stronger/bigger then a merc one...

someone belly snagged a rainbow a couple of years ago, but you're right, no musky has been raised by an OFNer yet... I'm interested if someone has room aboard... and if i'm not working... Sundays are better for me... Lew, i believe the restaurant closed...

i've heard using live bait in these small ponds works wonders... might want to try a minnow / worm under a bobber... sounds dumb, but give it a shot... -
lots of places where it could be leaking... Wayne was right with his suggestion... take it to a mechanic and have them go through it... it's not gonna be cheap... good thing is you only have to take him the lower unit... i took mine once and got to around $80 in cost and it still leaked... after that i said screw it, let it leak in... just be sure to add gearlube every once in a while... much cheaper then them performing $500 service on the lower unit...

i thought they made duct tape silver so it would match when you'd patch aluminum...

water is so green, i haven't been able to see the pleco for 2 days... he's about 1.2"long... what kind of plants do you guys suggest? do i have to add any soil or anything? or will it take on the gravel???
-
Not sure what's wrong with it... but i read somewhere, that someone went up to look at it, and the boat is garbage... plus it's been up for sale for a long time... the good deals go quick... buyer beware...
-
That's just an awesome pic Chris, looks like it was taken for a catalogue or something... rod looks great!!
-
this boat has been for sale for a long time... one guy went up and looked at it and said it was garbage... don't walk away from it, run away... i'd be very weary of this boat

water is tap water with big al's conditioner... water changes - haven't done one since last monday (oct 22) when i installed the new filter ( aquaclear50) i am using carbon and i am using a phosphate remover instead of the bio-max that it comes with no plants yet food is hikari algae discs pellets are laguna goldfish and koi pellets
-
further to my previous topic... http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...mp;#entry124718 Well the water is starting to turn greenish again... i'm feeding them about 8 pellets every 3 or 4 days as well as 1 algea disk... any other ideas?
-
Tank Update... Water is relatively clear... no greenish water, but it is still cloudy white.... looks like the new filter/phosphate is doing it's job? but again, i'm still not getting crystal clear water? i changed the water/filter Monday Night... i can't see clearly through the aquarium? any ideas?
-
Update... took a water sample into Big Als... they tested it for nitrates/ph and stuff and the water is fine i went with an aquaclear 50 ( the 70 was just massive, and i even had to cut the existing filter opening to fit the 50 in) they also told me to put in phosphate remover and that would eliminate the greenish water... he told me to put the phosphate remover in instead of the biomax... so i did a 50% water change last night and installed the new filter, the water is a little cloudy (whiteish) but i'll see how that goes after a couple of days on the new filter... if it still remains, i'll try rinsing the gravel at the bottom thoroughly... If i pressure cook/boil the gravel, will it lose it's color? i'm thinking the white cloudiness could be caused from the gravel... i'm feeding them every 3rd day, and i took the heater out... water temp is 72 with a window open all night, koi and pleco seem to be doing well...

What's wrong here? 2004 has 2 year warranty and 2007 has 1 year ??? mind you if you have to pay $1500 more for a motor that is 3 or 4 years old, i'd rather go with the newer motor... something isn't adding up here... i'd ask more questions... both merc and yammy have solid reputations... i still run my 1975 merc, they do last...

I had a 150HP on my 16' trihull... overpowered my buddy has a 115HP on his 22' deepV... underpowered max out the HP is the general concensus

Tank has been up and running for about 3 or 4 months now... The water is around 78-80 degrees it's not in direct sunlight i keep the light on for approx 6 hours or so a day plants inside are plastic i have no air pump in the tank i haven't done any testing for ammoniums/nitrates etc... i do 30-50% water changes every 10 days to 2 weeks... i also vacume the gravel when i do the water change... i'll try feeding the fish less, i think i've been over feeding them maybe... i feed them every other day, and give them about 20 koi pellets and 1 algae disk the current filter has a "cotton??" filter then carbon/charcol media and then a plastic weave filter when the water is cloudy, it starts turning greenish this is about as clear as the aquarium gets...

i believe the passport is only required if you are flying over the border... for now for driving across you need photo ID and birth certificate or citizen ship card or passport

I have a 15 or 20 gallon aquarium... the water is always murky? the filter clogs after 3 or 4 days? i use Bclear and Big Al's water conditioner, but it doesn't help http://www.bigalscanada.com/baproducts/watertreat.htm http://www.animalworldnetwork.com/bclearbiolwa.html Filter is an Elite Hush 20... http://wetpetsusa.stores.yahoo.net/hafihu20elcl.html i have 2 koi about 3" and a plecko inside it was bought as a kit everything in a box, but like i said the water is always murky and the filter clogs after 3 or 4 days... any ideas?
