  1. Beautiful water and some great fish.
  2. I will update you tomorrow night Johnny.
  3. Dam you 2 drive fast! Seriously great trip.
  4. As a back up plan call Discount Bait. 705-474-6991
  5. My condolences Matt.
  6. Danny Collumby is a good buddy of mine. He makes a good living out of guiding for Muskie on Nipissing. I have been in his boat 4 or 5 times and I am one of the few locals he trusts. Lew, I have sent Danny a few of your Muskie pics from this site over the years. Johnny, There is NO dollar amount you can place on learning. A good guide can save you hours of frustration especially on new water. What days are you going Johnny?
  7. Your closest option is Discount Bait and Tackle. You will drive right past it on the by-pass. Turn right at the 3rd traffic lights. That is the intersection of Cassells St. and Hwy. 63 (Trout Lake Rd.). After you turn right it is the 1st building on your left. You will be able to get minnows there and get right back on the by-pass. If you don't think they will be open there may be somewhere in Temagami. If you are stuck, let me know and I will pick some up for you on Monday and leave them for you in a cooler on my steps.
  8. Awesome. Jen kicks butt.
  9. Looking good now Brian.
  10. Great day Simon. I love the picture of the plate of food against the backdrop of the lake.
  11. It was several years back and I believe he fishing with a friend.
  12. Yes Tama Kwa is in the Bay but close to the main channel. Before you exit the bay in the channel there is a series of small islands to the North-west side. Fishing can be incredible at this time of the season. Still best to use a jig and worm/minnow combination.
  13. Dutch, Is the lodge on Callander Bay or South Shore? All the addresses of the South Shore Lodges are Callander. You will catch walleye but doubt you will get many (if any) over 18". None the less it should be fun. As you exit Callander Bay and head towards the South shore you will find the "humps" out in 20-30 feet of water. The humps will hold walleye and bass. Bring worms and minnows. Bottom bouncers with a spinner or just a hook will work well and charteuse jigs with stinger hook.
  14. Good fishing Luc. Big Northern and some nice bass. I head there has been a 49" pike come out of Nipissing. I believe Rob Hyatt caught it.
  15. Is that Bernie trading that old suit?
  16. Solid walleye. That is a pig.
  17. I will fire you a text this week. We can chat about hunting and maybe I will come out to see the little stinker. AND my pumpkin is bigger than your pumpkins!
  18. You live a tough life Mike. I feel for you................NOT.
  19. A day (weekend) to remember for sure.
  20. When are you going? I would be more then willing to set you up with rods reels and any tackle you need. I am in North Bay only a minute from the by-pass. You will drive right past my place each way. If you want it I will get it ready for you to pick up and you could drop it off on your way back. No cost and no worries about used / lost tackle. PM me if you are interested in this option or if you need something specific that you haven't picked up yet.
  21. Andrew you have a true gift for writing these reports and you and Bren are pretty good with the camera and rods too.
  22. Hope your dog, rabbits and family stay safe. Hope it doesn't scare off the deer. We need a good buck this year. 308 and crossbow are ready!
  23. Nice report Brian, Danny Columby is a good friend of mine and I have had the pleasure of fishing with him a few times. If you haven't done so yet, message him and let him know you got a nice one on that spot. He will log it in his journal and it will help him continue to find musky on Nipissing.
  24. Wicked report Pete and some massive fish. Way to go Andrew as well.
