  1. Very nice, Paul!! Congrats, and, enjoy the open water season!
  2. Nice going Geoff!! Nothing like "stumbling" across some surprise fish.
  3. Great stuff, Doc!! Makes me want to hop in the truck, after work, and start heading up your way!!
  4. Oh, BABY I love those fish!!!!
  5. Wow, great deal! Not sure if the GT is open yet here in Woodstock? The better half made me a believer in Yum last year...it pretty much kicked Gulp's butt!!!!
  6. Good to hear! Keep fighting Jen! Almost time for you and your dad to get out fishing
  7. Built a musky rod for $395...definitely up there, fun to play around with anyways.
  8. Must have missed this post the other day. I think you are definitely onto something Shawn. Depending on when and where, I'd love to lend a hand as well...work schedule can be a little tough for me in the summer, but, I agree with Ryan...."keep me in the loop" as well.
  9. The main reason I stay far away from any of the tribs on opener. Was much more enjoyable for me to be on an inland lake with plenty of elbow room and peace. That, said...sounds like you had a great opener anyways Copper!! Good news on the pre-opening bust as well!
  10. Way to go, bud!! Glad you made it out, and, with your dad is even more special!! I'll have to try some jerkbaits there next time. I pounded the water with spinners, spoons, and, small crankbaits...not even a whiff. Had to resort to "ye olde garden hackle" to get any takers.
  11. Just read your PM, Rick...the "G-man's" smile says it all!! Well done, my friend!!
  12. Juli and I got out with her dad and brother, Scott, for an afternoon of beautiful weather and a couple of take home beauties. Couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather. Couple of photos... First fish we've ever kept from this spot, but, it's been awhile since a fresh fish dinner. Hope everyone had as much fun on opening day as we did!
  13. Nice Jacques!!! Going to be a bit warmer down here for our opener, lol! We're heading to an inland lake tomorrow as well, I'll see if I can up that 13 3/4"es for our team.
  14. Tyler, I've said it before...I truly envy the fishing opportunities that you have up in your neck of the woods. Not that things are poor down here, but, north of Huron is a whole different world. Nice going
  15. Wise words...keeps you away from opening day mayhem.
  16. Great thread, Paul!! I've made some darn good friends on this board, like others here, I belong to a few others as well, but, OFC is home base. I just have to stay away from the classified section See waaaaaaaaaay too many good deals on here for fishing "stuff".
  17. Might have to get the boat out, and, go for some perch/pike Although I do know a spot that is known to have some browns and rainbows, eh, Ryan?
  18. Happy B-day, Brian!! Looking forward to getting out musky fishing with you, again!
  19. Happy B-Day, Brian!! Nice gift! Have a guy that has worked for us the last three springs who has an insane amount of Dale Jr, stuff...you guys and your "dinky cars", LOL!!!
  20. Jacques, my man!! Truly, an awesome donation towards this great event! I've said it before, wish you were closer, and, could make it to DC!! I know myself, and, some of the other participants would love to meet you in person, bud!
  21. Thoughts and prayers to your family, Dan. Chin up, buddy!
  22. Well Ryan is the star of the show, Geoff Nothing will ever top that lunge to save Big Jim's rod Edit...make that try and save
  23. Great stuff, as usual, buddy!! The kids will be nailing those panfish there before you know it. The cold weather this spring has everything behind...Juli her dad and I hit one of my favorite piers on Saturday, looking for some 'bows, ended up catching and releasing three gorgeous little brown trout in ridiculously close to shore. The water temps are really low. Nice work on the kennel, too
