I'll bet the (male) cop would not not write a ticket to the girl! Probably wishing he was on the 'good side' of her. -

When victims are recovered from boating related drownings, many have their fly down.... -
Hopefully the proud papa will post soon?!

Knuguy is very correct about transportation of crawfish. They can only be caught and used 'ON THE SAME WATER

Fresh Calamari is a very good bait alternative to chicken livers or cut bait. (For chicken livers, tie them in Steelhead mesh. They will stay on the hook longer.) Circle hooks are great, you just have to resist setting the hook. Let the fish run with the bait, they will hook themselves. Cats are so much fun. Lots of power, and in this hot weather a great alternative. Saves stressing out the 'preferred' species.

Rod caster is correct! Also a good way to catch leeches at the same time!

A fish on the first cast of the morning........ugh...
Bill Shearer replied to ckrb2007's topic in General Discussion
Far better to take care of it right away, rather than getting medical help at the local ER. It hurts far more later. -
He has to get a grip on reality. If he is going by himself, he should make sure to file a boating plan with next of kin. If he plans on taking anybody with him, he should file with the health department. Hopefully they will commit him.

Radio World now an Authorized warranty centre for Lowrance
Bill Shearer replied to kickingfrog's topic in General Discussion
Absolutely a great place to buy, now to get service on Your Lowrance products. Politics play such a large part in the service game. They deserve to be a service depot, for sure, IMO- 2 replies

I have been fishing a US reservation for many years now. A reservation license is required by all non-status Indians there. I am thankful that I can fish there at all, since it wasn't many years before I started that it was illegal for any non-status Indian to fish those waters. You be the judge. If you feel the waters offer good opportunities for exceptional fishing, then buy the license. If not stay out. Their property, their rules. After all, although it definitely wasn't me or you, we signed a treaty that gave them that land. The least we can do is pay them their due.

If it is a Ford, the relay is usually shipped in the glove box. Don't know why they dont put it in? At any rate my last 3 F150s came that way Pick it up at the dealer tomorrow, or make a jumper for today. Beware though in the event of a short you could do some serious damage.

Chasing The Grey, A Journey Back In Time

Great report and photos, Dave Happy to see your buddy is still looking after you. -
What Roy said! If you were happy with the performance of your boat, and the RPMs were correct for the motor, then just take it to a prop shop. Keep your Marina out if the equation. Saves money and time. There are great prop shops in almost every area.

Best firestarter there is! Just be careful where you store the reflector.

A well known photographer was invited to a dinner party. The host complimented her on her photos and said " I really like your photos, you must have a great camera. The photographer did not reply. But smiled. When leaving, the photographer commented to his host, " great meal! You must have an exceptional stove"! No comment was heard from the host.

Exceptional photos! You should be very proud of them! Thanks for the narrative as well as the pics.

A ladder to get into the boat? Is there such a thing?
Bill Shearer replied to tb4me's topic in General Discussion
Dave has it right! The great thing about using the motors cavitation plate is that it is that it is STRONG. The ladders that hang depend on the fasteners that hold it to the transom, and the fasteners that hold it together. Thin wall tubing is iffy, if you are over 180 lbs. getting into the boat by yourself, with no one to help you, is tough, ladder or not, especially if you have just fallen in. -
Have to charge the battery separate from the motor. Not really a big deal. Solar is always a possibility with what is now available. Draw is so minimal from what you listed, that you could probably go 5 days use with a regular battery before you had to think about any charging. High output battery would give you 7 full days, I'd bet. The solar panel would eliminate any doubt.

The great stove debate - Naptha or Propane
Bill Shearer replied to jedimaster's topic in General Discussion
My Coleman naptha stove with the brass fuel tank lights up every time!(love to know how old it really is). Lots of heat compared to Propane, and like all cooking/heating apparata completely safe if used as directed. -
They should be in the estuary/mouth of every stream right now. fresh shrimp, calamari rings, chicken livers, cut bait all work.
