  2. Hey now...I could have sworn that mikey mikey said that....but then he edited his post....LOL
  3. Back in 1985, my grade 10 history teacher told me something that has stuck with me to this day. If you don't vote, then you have no right to complain about anything that happens in government.
  4. When you've only been fishing for two years, it's not all that hard to get a PB...they are already slowing down....LOL.
  5. I saw these in Mike's report....but man...fantastic report and pics. He was right, it did deserve a thread of its own!
  6. Great job on those lakers! I've yet to catch one of those....from both boat and shore! Nice to get those skunks to go away isn't it?
  7. Wow....breathtaking pictures Terry!
  8. Looking very cool Kemper! I'm sure they'll be catchin you plenty of steel!
  9. Great!!! Congrats on the PB...that's a real nice Walleye.

  12. Thanks everyone....seems like lots of fish...but catching in 4 of 16 outings isn't good....LOL. And Glen...there are no other pics we are holding back at this point....haha.
  13. Sweet report and great fish! Great job out there man. I'll update the team stats when I get the chance.....
  14. Nicely done TJ! Our dinner is tomorrow....hopefully a morning of steelheading followed by turkey dinner...mmmmmmm Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend!
  15. Bly and I have been out quite a bit in the past 2 or 3 weeks...mostly at night, but have been skunked on a fairly regular basis....LOL. I figured I'd put a combo report of the past weeks...... A few weeks ago, we were trying in vain to catch some late Salmon....chucking cleos in hopes of another big one. The only thing hitting that night was this surprise pike! This past week, after the rains we had on Wednesday, we decided to hit a trib to see if we could coax any early steelhead to hit on Thursday night. Conditions looked good....about 10 inches of visibility, levels slightly elevated. Using roe, I managed to first pull this little guy from the dark waters.... Finally....the first decent sized steelhead for me...took me for a bit of a ride....had to get used to using the float rod again!! Fast forward to today. We had the whole day to fish, so we decided to see if there were any other steelhead in the creeks. We arrived at the trib around 830 and started walking...methodically checking every likely spot they'd potentially hide out in. All we could manage were a bunch around this size. Still fun to catch though! It soon got too HOT out to keep on walking the trib, so we came home around noon, hooked up the boat and headed off to Lake Scugog. The conditions were great out there...no real winds, warm temperatures and hardly any boats out there. We tried casting for muskie for a while with no action whatsoever, so we decided we'd troll around to cover more water. For the first 3 hours we didn't even have a sniff. Then finally....around 5pm, I feel a nice hit on the troll! I begin to reel and fight the fish, but when it was about 30 feet from the boat I lost it!! Crap!! Carole then noticed that the moon had just poked over the horizon, and remembering what Lew said about moonrise and set...we decided to stay a little while longer. Wouldn't you know it....about 20 minutes later, I feel another hit! They had suddenly turned on and were chasing baits close to the surface. This was to be the only fish in the boat for the day...a smallish one, but I'll take it any day!!! Off to swim another day! Well, that pretty much sums up our last 2 or 3 weeks of fishing.....hopefully we can get a few more fall muskies before the season closes!
  16. Gerritt. I cant even begin to imagine what you've been through. I don't know where I'd get the strength from to go on, but you did. OFC means many things to different people, but I for one am glad that it's far more than just a fishing board. It's a glimpse into eachothers lives...both the good and the bad...to celebrate successes and to mourn and support after loss. We're thinking of you today Gerritt...you'll get through it, and be a stronger person.
  17. My gas has gone down. Oh wait...you mean for the car right? Heard today the slight increase was due to profit taking despite the fact that oil went down.
  18. Save the postage....we're getting skunked just fine without the hat....LOL
  19. Hey Will!! Not sure how I missed your report. Work is getting in the way of me keeping up on the board!!! Glad the GPS came in handy...thanks for marking those waypoints on it.... Sounded like a long day, but hey....it's all worth it!
  20. Great stuff Wayne! Despite the weather this summer, you made the best out of it. Some great pics there....lets us know you were actually busy working...LOL.
  21. Great report Will! I forgot you even went on this trip....LOL. Some real nice shots there....some great fish....and quality family time....doesn't get much better than that.
  22. Great pics Mike!!! Very cute kids and pup!!!
  23. I'm indifferent one way or another about hunters displaying their kill. Except.... I'd rather see a dead moose on display on the back of a vehicle than a live one
  24. Hard to beat an outing like that!!! Great job and nice musky pic!
  25. Good to see a warm weather report! Nice haul of fish there Glen....must have made a nice meal for you and the missus! We've only been out a few times with the boat in the past month...haven't done well...so no reports...LOL.
