If you are talking about the big OFC G2G, that's not until November 15-16....so you didn't miss anything yet! There are a few BOQ reports from some members floating around the board though.

We're not crazy Kemper. If you can ask yourself the question, then you are not crazy. Mind you, if you ask yourself that question and you hear 3 voices coming back to you with different answers, then something may be wrong then..... hehe.

Nice going guys! The conditions sucked out there but you managed to get one nice one. An ugly one, but a nice one at that! Great to see you guys get together too....you'll get more next time i'm sure! -

No bananas on your boat and you caught a bunch of fish...sure they weren't big fish, but still better than a skunk!!! Great report...good to see you still out there and doing some catching before they all freeze up!

Is that why the one he was throwing at the time didn't fly away??? It just landed in the water and sat there....

It's been very busy last half of the week for me. After the amazing Solopaddler steelheading trip on Thursday (up at 2:30am), I had to go to work on Friday....up at 530am. Right after work, I came home, packed up the car and Bly and I hit the road to meet up with Slowpoke in London. We arrived in London at around 9pm...and by 930 we were at Slowpoke's place. We headed out for a snack and a quick drink with his lovely wife. By 11pm, I was nodding off...the lack of sleep had caught up with me. Back to the hotel...and by midnight I was looking forward to a solid...umm...5 hours of sleep....LOL. We got to Slowpoke's place by 545 the next morning and we set off to LSC. The forecast had been dicey all week long....we were wondering about the high winds and rain....hoping that it would hold off. As luck would have it, we didn't see a drop of rain once we got there....it was a bit windy, but didn't affect our trolling for the day! Pretty early on, we saw someone fighting a big muskie....after talking later on wit the guy, it measured in at 54 inches! We were hopeful after seeing that. We then saw this familiar guy landing one..... After thoroughly washing a variety of muskie bait, I decided to snap a few pictures of the surroundings.... We were glad to see the sun as we were launching.... Trolling trolling trolling...keep that boat trolling..... We saw these ducks floating about...completely oblivious to the hunter that was stalking them....fly ducks fly!!! Fly for your life!!! Late in the day we did have one of the rods go off....but the muskie got off in short order. Looked like that was our opportunity for the day! We got off the water by 430ish....I actually fell asleep on his boat for about a half hour....LOL. We still had a long way to get home, but Bly and I had a GREAT time visiting and talking with Slowpoke and his wife. Thanks Slowpoke...we'll have to do that again...always great to share a day on the water with you.

Thanks everyone....it was a day to remember for sure....I never thought in a million years that I'd have a chance to fish waters like that, have as much fun as I did, and also have my best day for steelhead all wrapped in one outing. All made possible by OFC....I'd never have met these guys without it!

May as well throw in banning radios/cd players/mp3 players as they distract you when pushing the buttons....trying to read song titles. Oh yeah...those buttons that turn on the heater, A/C, defog, fan and interior lights....they distract people as well.
-
Welcome to the board!!! Looking forward to hearing more from you....and to see what species you catch over there!
-
Wow...coming from you that means a lot....thanks!! Ever since seeing your pics...and other on the board, I've tried to emulate them....glad someone noticed....LOL.

I use the same cure formula with salmon roe....it's works great...so much so that I no longer keep trout for roe.

Looks like a trout wants to eat 'em....good job...tie 'em up and fish!
