  1. Bly and I plan to be there again Mo! Anyone with a snowmobile or and ATV who wants to guide us that day would be appreciated....LOL. I'll work on the fishing buyer at work for some prizes again....
  2. Very cool picture ehg! I guess you always remember the first one eh? You have one of you holding the fish?
  3. Great stuff guys! Seems the east was on everywhere...you didn't see us because I don't think we were on the same trib...
  4. I'm shore bound tomorrow...have a gig I'm playing Saturday night and set up and sound check is in the morning. However, some guy on this board PM'd my wife without me knowing inviting her muskie fishing......the worst thing is she said yes.....LOL.
  5. After the rains we had yesterday, I just had to take the day off work. We just went through a huge corporate re-structure, and even though I was not affected, many of my friends were. It's been a tense week to say the least. Bly and I got up at around 6, and decided to hit an eastern trib to see if the rain we had was enough to push up a fresh batch of fish....and man oh man....we were not disappointed!! We got there around 7:30 to see a few others already in the area, but none where we like to drift. In my first 5 drifts, I had 3 hits...but was having hookset issues! After adjusting a bit and concentrating a bit more, the fish just started coming in....one after another! The final tally between the two of us was 15 landed...and about a half dozen lost in the fight. I had one on at one point that just didn't stop!! It was a monster, but I just couldn't turn it around. About a minute after the fight began, it snapped my 6lb leader.... Didn't really matter...here's some fish porn....not too bad for 4.5 hours of fishing.
  6. Beauty fish!!! You traveled far, worked hard and you were rewarded for your efforts!! Congrats....great pics.
  7. Wow...fantastic fish!! Congrats on the PB...it's a monster!
  8. Just added it...it's not that big though....LOL
  9. My PB walleye is 32" x 19 girth, 14.5 lbs...caught from shore. Steelhead....33 inches...didn't weigh it, but I estimated around 15 pounds. Smallie...around 20 inches...no idea on weight... Pike...not huge, but my pb....34", 10 lbs.
  10. BillM has the right idea. I use DVD shrink....you can copy just the movie portion and leave out all the extra menus, features, games etc... You will be able to get more episodes on a DVD that way. Compression (if you even need to do that) will reduce qualtiy and may cause some DVD players to skip...so beware of that. You may make a few drink coasters out of DVDs until you figure it all out.
  11. But no...you weren't bitter....LOL. Can't believe I'm going to say this, but we gotta hit the ice this winter Will.
  12. Wow...my heart was pounding watching this...could only imagine his!! Great video!
  13. Come on Moosebunk!! Bernie got my riddle.... This is SNAG's avatar....I hear he's a fish hog.
  14. Another great report with awesome pics! Looks so serene and warm...how deceiving!!! Those ice pictures are just wrong though!! LOL.
  15. Still an epic report Drew!! That 48" pike sure was a brute!! Condolences to Bren (and family and all who knew her) on the news of her sister's passing...very sad. It's great you met up with Snag up there too...didn't know he was up your way..... Great report again....cant wait to see that 500lb'er come thru the ice in your winter report!!
  16. Thanks!! Everyone loves to get on my case...LOL And GCD...yep...Will schools me most times out!!! I had a lucky day...I can admit that.... Oh yeah, there was another reason I maybe outfished him that day, but what happens on the boat stays on the boat.... Again Will....great job out there...that 48 incher was a real beaut!!!
  17. Hey Will...great job out there but were the voicemails really necessary??? "Hey Cliff, it's Will...just got a 48"er, so put that in your pipe and SMOKE IT!!!" LOL No...he wasn't bitter about the weekend before was he?? haha. Great job out there...I bet your buddies were impressed!!
  18. Don't give up hope on it. Bly lost her entire flybox once on an eastern trib. When we realized it, we headed straight back there and of course it was gone. An older gentleman there found it and asked the anglers if it belonged to anyone...someone claimed it. He felt pretty bad about that. We gave him our number in case he saw the guy again. A few weeks later we get a phone call....he had the flybox back! We went down to meet him...turns out the guy who found it really thought it was his....even pulled out his own flybox and they were identical. He got home and noticed it and looked for that guy. We arrived back there, with 2 Tim Horton's gift cards for the guys and came home with it all in tact. There are some good people out there....
  19. Great writing Stan! Those skunks do not last forever...as long as you keep going out! Congrats...sounded like a great couple of outings there.
  20. Damn...I finished all my work in 3 hours this morning...now what am I supposed to do?
  21. Way to go guys!! Looked like a fantastic day out there! Bly and I only caught shakers when we saw you on the weekend...but we'll be out again soon to hopefully have half the day your guys had. It's always great to see OFNers get together and have a great day like that. Congrats to all of you.
  22. Aweome pictures again!! Bly and I are thinking of heading out Friday morning if the rains on Thrusday don't blow everything out. I can relate to fishing in the wind like that...the last time I tried my float almost hit me in the head after each cast...LOL
  23. Great stuff Bernie! Bear, moose, deer....sounded pretty exciting!
  24. I hear you Forrest...went out there last fall, sharp cold front, high winds....didn't catch a thing over 2 days of fishing. From what I know about catching there, you did things right...trolling speed slow, depth seemed fine (I have the trolling bible that tells me how much line to have out...cant remember specifics right now), baits have all worked before. I agree...the cold front likely turned them off....was anyone else having luck out there? Hope you get them next time.
  25. For a few hours out there you sure got a beauty!! Rake the leaves? It's going to be windy the next few days....just let em blow on the neighbours yard!!
