  1. Come on Brian. Cant believe you'd post this here. You're obviously flossing these fish at 250+ feet.
  2. Some great looking walleye there! It's always good when someone is put on their personal best as well...doesn't matter who catches the fish, it's always exciting to see!
  3. Something is wrong with this report.... I can't put my finger on it.... It's right there.... Oh wait...I know! You are holding the target fish in your hand!!! LOL. Great report Mike...that 9 pounder and change is a nice eye in anyones books! Great pics...looks like a great time was had by all.
  4. Now that's a funny report!!! At least fish were caught...and you had a day to remember...LOL. Great stuff Mike...assuming Carp are coming from you soon!
  5. It's been a while since we posted any carp reports, but alas, tonight was the night. We went out a few weeks ago to scope out a few of our favourite spots for them, but it was a little too early yet. Tonight, with the warm temps, and light winds we loaded the gear up and headed to a local spot. Bly forgot her OFC tourney sign, so I made a joke for her not to hand write one up, because that would mean that she wouldn't catch a fish! Wouldn't you know it, not too long later a nice sized one picks up her bait and goes for a little run! It came in nice and easy, so we weren't sure on the size. As it turns out, it's a very respectable 33" fish! Don't worry team 1, we have a pic with her sign...well, it's a Team inTENsity sign, but it's still an OFC tourney sign...LOL. A little while later, my rod goes off like a bat out of hell, so I disengage the baitrunner and set the hook. I'm reeling in the monster and it feels like it's gone. I'm wondering, is there even a fish on there? Then I see it surfing on the water as I'm reeling it in....LOL. I didn't know carp came this small. Sure I've seen Victor's small carp, but I thought they were just a joke. I thought carp were born bigger than this???? It was only 26", but it's a start for my team in the tourney. It should be beaten no problem. That's it for now...a nice night out there to sit and relax and catch up a little after our days of work.
  6. Now that's a boat load of crappie!!!
  7. Beauty fish!!! Some great pictures there too!
  8. Very cool looking fish! Looks like you had a blast out there! Seeing the mountains the background...must be an amazing place to fish.
  9. Ended finding half decent numbers, but only a few 'keeper' sized crappie today...not enough to really take home. The winds out there were brutal...even with the anchor dragging along AND the wind sock. Every time we'd find a spot with them, it would take 30 seconds to drift the area. Winds died down around 5pm and we caught a few more, but it was time to leave.....figures...LOL
  10. We are headed out to the Kawartha in about a half hour looking for them! We did ok opening weekend...fished deeper than we thought we should...around any weeds/structure we could find.
  11. Beauty pics! Great shot of that one jumping out of the water!
  12. Great shots and nice fish! Love that last pic too...can just see the swish of it's tail!
  13. Looked like a great day out there! Some nice fish!
  14. Cant help you with the St Lawrence, but welcome to the board! Sounds like a sweet setup you have there...and with that variety of target species, you'll fit right in here I'm sure!
  15. Nice work!! Looks great!
  16. Hmmm...cant find an exact address of the Whitby Boat Launch into Lake Ontario (via the Port of Whitby)....here are directions and a map for you though..... For the launch ramp, take Brock Street South to Victoria and turn right. Take the third left onto Gordon Street. The ramp is directly opposite from the Lakeridge Health Whitby on the east side of Gordon Street.
  17. Gagnon's Sports 385 Bloor St. West Oshawa, ON L1J 5Y5
  18. A friend of mine has a family member in the Ajax/Pickering Hospital. When they arrived to emergency, they were greeted with a mask wearing security guard saying no one but emergency patients were allowed in. The patients inside cant leave either...looks like quarantine lockdown to me. The people waiting to be treated were sitting outside. They wont say why....but it makes you wonder....
  19. Persistence paid off!!! Some nice catches there...and a beauty sized carp for your team!
  20. With the summer-like forecast, we couldn't resist getting the boat out. We had a few things to accomplish. First was to see if the boat still leaked, and the second was to get some crappie for the dinner table! Yellowboat was kind enough to come over to the house to take a look at our boat. We've had some leaking issues...nothing major, but still wanted to see about getting it fixed up. He came over on his own time earlier this week with everything needed to replace rivets. He explained what he was going to do....I figured anyone who uses aircraft grade rivets and sealant used in airplane fuel tanks was more than qualified!! Less than an hour after he arrived, he had replaced 2 suspect rivets. As it turned out, there are 3 more rivets that have leaks, but the major leak has been fixed and the ones he put in were dry as a bone. Fast forward to today... Woke up to see lots of clouds in the sky...the wind forecast was for 30km/h winds. Not great...but we hitched the boat up and headed up to Lake Scugog. We first headed to Island Marina, since that side of the lake would be sheltered from the southwest winds. Turns out I should have called ahead as the entire section leading to the ramp was dug up!! Hmm...plan B...head to the public launch in Port Perry. As I pulled closer and closer to the ramp, I noticed the docks were not in yet. Arghhh!!! Since we had our little one with us, and I MUCH prefer docks where I launch, we headed to launch number 3 on the lake. We pulled into Goreskis, quick launch and we were on the water close to 10am. The winds were moderate when we arrived, so we decided to fish close by. We found a nice little somewhat sheltered bay to fish in and started our search for crappie. It took us about 20 minutes to mark fish. They were scattered in about 7 feet of water. Our little one was the first to catch a fish!! Suddenly, the crappie bite turned on!! For about a 45 minutes, each drift yielded crappie after crappie!! Here's some pics... My little one with a nice one! Here's a double header... Bly with a nice one... We caught tons of little perch and the odd sunfish mixed in as well... We fished until about 1pm...the winds had picked up considerably, so we booted around the lake a bit before heading in the for the day. My little one ended up with the biggest fish of the day...here she is at home with her 10.5" crappie. It qualifies for the OFAH awards program, so we'll be submitting it for sure for her! Here's the fish we brought home for the table...a successful day out on the water.
  21. Sweet canoe Mike! Hopefully I'll have a chance at fishing out of it up north one day!!! hint hint...LOL.
  22. I knew it was just a matter of time Bill!!! I also knew you wouldn't hang up the float gear like you said in another thread quite yet...LOL. Congrats on the fish!
  23. Hey Bill! Long time no see on here. Hope you have a great day! Hope the exams went/go well!
  24. Now that a sweet boat Stoty!!! Congrats on a successful maiden voyage!
  25. Very sorry to hear this...if it is skin cancer, it has a VERY high 5 year survival rate...so wishing him the best! You are right...the photos turned out great!
