  1. Great report guys! I'm sure hoping the action picks up for the G2G!!! That pike looks small...bad angle whatever...LOL. Looked like a great day...and at least you got some fish into the boat. Oh and Will, your guiding seems to be working out....just dont mess up that karma with charging guests....
  2. I was on two Kawartha lakes on the weekend and the temps ranged from 44 to 47F. Sturgeon was one of the lakes I was on. Good luck this weekend!
  3. Fantastic Mike! Loved the video!
  4. Interesting tail markings on this fish...instead of the white just at the tip, it seems to be along the edge of the entire tail. Or it's just the lighting...lol.
  5. Amazing read as usual... Amazing pictures as usual... Spending that time with your dad is simply priceless!
  6. Thanks again everyone! The first fish came in just after 9am...but the follow and Fishnsled's fish came around 1130ish. We didn't see another fish the rest of the day. We got off the water about an hour after moonrise...hoping for at least one more.
  7. Great stuff!!!
  8. Lol....I know....that's what Will said when I joked about that Thanks everyone...was just excited I actually caught a nice fish!
  9. Wow Mike! I've seen you with lots of pike and walleye before! But those brookies are incredible! Looked like an awesome time....wish I could have gone in with you on that trip!
  10. Fishnsled and I had planned a while ago to reserve this day to go hunt down some fall muskies. I have not been able to break the 40" mark when it came to any fish...and I was hoping to break that today. It was a cold morning...with a skim of ice at the boat launch. Good thing there wasn't any wind! We launched just after 8am and headed towards our first spot. As we neared it, we noticed a hunter hunkered down right where we wanted to fish...so we decided that they guy with a gun wins...LOL. Off we went to spot number two...the wind freezing our faces off! We began working an area and just we got near the end, I cast out my suick and begin working it back to the boat. I was pausing the retrieve after long sweeps, and as soon as I began to bring it forward again I feel a hit! A fish took a swipe at it and missed, so I let the bait stay there for a few seconds and began my retrieve again. The fish smacked it hard and I set the hook! It went crazy for about 5 seconds before I was able to get it under control. I brought it to the side of the boat and knew I had a chance at breaking my previous PB Muskie of 39.5". This fish will get MUCH bigger...it had a HUGE head and was just beginning to bulk up. Quick measure put it at 41.5"...a new PB! I know it's not a trophy fish...but it feels good break that 40" barrier...now need to get a 50! LOL A little while later, as Fishnsled says "we're entering a hot spot right here". Almost immediately he says "look...here's a follow!" A few minutes later he sets the hook and a little muskie shoots out of the water! It wasn't a big one, but it sure was exciting! The bite turned off after that...but the temperature warmed up some and we had a great day on the water...lots of laughs and good times. Off to fish for Walleye tomorrow on Sturgeon Lake with Big Cliff...that promises to be a great time...fish or no fish!
  11. WOW!!! Sweet fish!!!
  12. I am a die hard Leaf fan....always have been. Some of the best memories of my childhood are watching games with my dad. I loved Peter Puck in the first intermission and if I begged he'd let me stay up for Showdown and the third period. That being said, I am also a realist....I don't have delusions of the cup, but high hopes for playoff action... Go Leafs go!
  13. And they are up 4-1 in the second period...
  14. Looks great Jason!! Hope to get out fishing with you at some point soon!!! Oh...and I like the throwing in the "oh yeah, here's a PB...". What a great fish!
  15. Great report Cliff! Wish I could have made it...although 3:40 is a little early...LOL. It always seems Lloyd gets his clients on fish no matter how tough the fishing is. I've had the pleasure of being on board his boat and it's amazing to see all his tactics...he works very hard out there. Hoping to try out those things you learned with you on Sunday on your home lake...assuming the wind forecast of 25 to 30km/h doesn't keep us off the water!
  16. That's great news Cliff
  17. Great photo! Very cute!
  18. Great pumpkins Geoff!! I learned the hard way years ago about putting them outside like that. Now they sit in the kitchen or garage until Hallowe'en night...then I put them on the front porch.
  19. WOW! He did it again! Congrats!!! The river looks like it's back to normal levels again...I didn't see that shoreline my last visit. LOL.
  20. Yes, but you still may want to sleep with one eye open the next few nights lol
  21. You are a brave man Lew! I laughed right out loud at that....good thing I didn't read it with my morning coffee!
  22. Awwwwwwww.......very cute! Congrats you two!
  23. Very cool pictures Shawn!
  24. Nice work! Gotta love it when a plan comes together
  25. You have more musical ability than you think Cliff....if you can't tell the difference between c sharp and d flat, you are good because it's the same note. Lol. Looking forward to a day on the water with you next Sunday! What's this thread about again?
