  1. Bobble heads and Pez dispensers are cool.... When are the action figures coming out? I'll wait for the action figure combo...boat, little fishing gear and action figure with movable arms and legs. Push a button on the back and hear the laugh....
  2. You got me thinking about the US/Canada thing...so a quick visit to Honda Canada's website also has a history... http://www.honda.ca/HondaCorp/en/about4_4....p;subNavIndex=4 It says Honda Civic introduced in Canada in 1973.
  3. Check out Honda America's Website, and choose the historical timeline. It says 1972 - Honda Civic debuts.... http://corporate.honda.com/america/timeline.aspx
  4. Here's my first...1981 Mercury Lynx
  5. Hey TJSA....I'm sure that would have worked too!! Problem is that I don't drink...and somehow, I don't think 3 cokes would have taken the edge off....LOL.
  6. I used to cross the border almost every weekend and rarely got searched. One time, on the way back to Canada, the Customs agent I was talking to had a sense of humour. She said "Ding ding ding, you are a winner today!". I said "What do I win". She said "A free inpsection". She then went on to explain that on that particular day, every 100th vehicle to pass through had to submit to a thorough search.
  7. The smile on her face says it all! I love reports like this! Actually, the smiles on everyones face is pretty infectious.
  8. Big Cliff and I replaced the impeller on my 18hp 1983 Merc. If you have the owner's manual, it gives detailed instructions on how to change that impeller (with pictures...I need pictures....LOL). It took us a little time to figure everything out, but the next time it needs done, it'll take less than an hour. (and that's taking our time).
  9. Glad to hear it went well! I just hope when you wake up that you still have some painkillers running through your system! When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I fell asleep when I got home and didn't pop my painkillers. When the freezing wore off I ran to get my tylenol 3s....and then paced back and forth for 10 minutes until they kicked in...LOL. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery!!
  10. Camp? Isn't that a tent thing? LOL. Great report....and it's awesome that your buds who are scattered all around the country can all come together to share great times like that.
  11. Awesome report Sunfish! It's great to see you out there with your kids....seeing them smile at every fish, no matter how big makes it all worth it. When my little is fishing and catching, I don't even care if my line is even in the water! Great pics and report....can't wait to read the next one.
  12. Wow!! When we gave you all that advice, we never thought it would produce anything....LOL. What a great catch! It really is amazing about all the urban fishing opportunities there are...just have to ask a few questions and then get out there and try. And you are a fishing hero to the kids too...well done!!
  13. Apparently you scared the whole organization. I went to the website and there are no events listed....LOL.
  14. Have a great time Bill!!! Be sure to take lots of pics and post a nice long report when you get back. Take notes after every day so you don't forget anything..... Good luck and safe travels!
  15. If you can call me a pig, I guess I can call you a jerk..... Great reports Will....hope we have the same luck on Saturday!
  16. WOW!! Nice ski!! Also, welcome to the board...hope to see many more pics and reports like this one!!
  17. Hey Lexx...great job out there! I'm just getting used to having a real fish finder...LOL. Would love to witness that kind of thing on it. Anyhow, nice looking fish...and I hope your salmon prediction is right for this year!
  18. Now that's what I call an AMAZING weekend! Way to go out there....I'll have to try the trolling thing next time I'm out. I'm sure you'll be remembering this one for many years to come.
  19. Wow...cool funnel clouds!! You said not many fish, but with scenery like that I'd feel pretty great just fishing in that setting. I hope to experience that soon!!! Great report and pics...thanks for taking the time to post!!
  20. SWEET eyes!! Looked like a great day out there. Refreshing is right....great lake temps are still not quite "swimming" worthy yet...LOL.
  21. Great stuff! Makes me miss trib fishing....but don't get me wrong, I'm not wishing the summer away quite yet....LOL.
  22. I have a 14 foot tinny...it's rated for 25hp and we are running an 18hp on it. It gets up on plane nicely and GPS has clocked it at 33km/h, so I'm sure a 20hp will be fine for your setup! I brought 40 liters of gas with me up to Lakair and fished pretty hard for 3 days straight (at least 8 hours per day). I hadn't even used half the gas by the end of the weekend.
  23. Thanks Johnny.... What Victor said about the PP applies, but we also use it for a different reason. Since 99% of our carp fishing is at night, visibility of the line doesn't matter. We use 30lb test for the mainline and 20lb for the hair rigs. We also use 9 foot surf rods...there isn't a lot of bend in them, so we have to apply lots of pressure to them to keep them on.
  24. Truly amazing fish! Ok...so they are a little more attractive than Carp.....LOL. Great catches...they really are beautiful fish!
