Sounded like a pretty good weekend to me! Got some work done at the cottage and then got her done on the water the next day. Some REAL nice muskies there. Congrats.

Great to see your "reverse psychology" working....LOL. You had the right approach, you sneaky guy...haha. At the end of it all, you had a great time out there with the ones you love....doesn't get much better than that!
-
Ok...so you caught fish every time and it's a bad day?? Jeez...how soon you forget those shore days where one fish is a good day....LOL. You've had a banner year so far Sean....sometimes things get slow, but hey, you got out there and caught a few. Congrats on the PB walleye....always nice to catch a surprise fish!

Another great report Mike! Your kids are the cutest too. I kept looking at the canoe....and my soon-to-be seat up front....LOL. Nice fish, and overall a GREAT family weekend! -
Stop pouting..you caught a fish....LOL. Shore fishing is tough at times, but you did your time and was rewarded with one.

I think many of us are envious that you got that many days to fish in such a short period of time! I've thoroughly enjoyed your reports over that time period....thanks for taking the time to post them! Great smallie by the way. -

I believe all you "NEED" is a working flashlight to avoid fines. Keep it inside a ziplock bag until it's needed...just don't drop it in the water.... -

Get a crank flashlight for your boat....never have to worry about dead batteries when the MNR checks you out on the water. -
I vote from multiple PCs a day....we'll do our best to get ya there Joey!

Fishing with Headhunter and a BIG thanks to CCMT
ccmtcanada replied to fishnsled's topic in General Discussion
Hey HH...surprised you said all those good things about him. He invites me aboard and wont let me catch anything. Then he invites you on board a sinking ship....hmmm.... Seriously though...Will is a great guy....and always willing to help out when he can. Looking forward to boarding your fine vessel again soon....assuming it wont sink on us....I'm a terrible swimmer. -

You want me to come over and install that pump? Honest...I've done hundreds of them. I have a hacksaw, some duct tape and krazy glue all ready to go. Oh and for the record...I never wanted the boat to actually sink. Sorry to hear about your troubles, but glad to hear it'll be taken care of for your vacation!!! Thanks for the OFC tip of the day!! I should just get a new one. Mine never worked from the day I got the boat....the electrical and drain hose is all installed...just need to splurge on the 20 dollar pump. -
It'll be fine Victor....she had a tendon pop out...so it's very sore and flares up easily. Just gotta keep it immobile for a while then it'll be good as new!

Wow!!! Great looking fish! Congrats to your son on that beauty PB!
-
Nice going! Odd they didn't fight too much...even the smaller ones tend to have some spunk in them. Hope they tasted great!

Junior's Rod Was On Fire (Bay Of Quinte)
ccmtcanada replied to Mike the Pike's topic in General Discussion
Hey Mike! What a great report! Your son certainly did have an amazing weekend....it's always nice to see the kids to the catching. My little one asks "What if I catch the biggest and most fish?". My answer is "I'd love to see that happen"...and I mean it! Really good to see some fish caught...Percher had a nice one there, but this weekend belonged to your son. I was fishing with Tracker and Skeeter on the weekend....and we talked about you a bit...saying that we haven't seen you around the board a whole lot lately. Makes sense...you were out fishing!! LOL -

Sweet report! That's one great looking walleye...a GREAT catch. That pike is a real beauty as well! Lakair was the weekend of June 21st...so you missed out by a few weeks there! -
Great reports there guys! It's great to see OFNers getting out there, sharing knowledge and catching fish! Sorry to hear about the motor problems...I had starting issues at the beginning of the season, so I know what that's like!
-
Welcome to the board...even though you've been around and know what we are all about already! You fishing history almost exactly mimics mine. My dad's best friend had a cottage and we were up there a LOT during the summer months. His friend sold the cottage when I was 8 or 9 and that stopped my fishing in it's tracks. Then, in 2006, my wife and I both picked up fishing rods again and the rest is history. That sunset pic is great, but that one of your little girl is priceless...she's a real cutie! Oh yeah...nice fish pic too....LOL.

Hey Mark, Most of my shore reports end up like yours...but when the fish are on, it makes all those skunks worth it. I fish after work most evenings to relieve the day's stress....if catching something happens then all the better. At the end of the day though, the relaxation and time spent with my wife (who is with me every time) is what it's really all about.
-
They can sense it I believe. However, I've found that just before a storm the feed turns on...not off. If anything, barometric pressure and wind direction plays more into what happened to you. If the wind is going the wrong way, many of my shore spots won't produce. Extremely high pressure doesn't work out very well for us either. Low pressure, with westerly winds seem to be the best for my shore spots.
-
LOL Rich....I always knew there was something special about you.
-
Yeah...I know what you mean....I put my coat on first and they said "Wusses". Then Tracker and I headed in first because of some little engine trouble, they finally headed in. They wouldn't be the first to head to the docks...LOL.
