Great report Lew. It was a real pleasure to see you again up there this year. I took your advice and checked out that area you mentioned where you got that nice musky in your pic. Had a follow and strike...just no hook set. I think my heart is still pounding....LOL.
Glad to see you made it home safe.
I did a lot of research late last summer and early fall. I was told that in general, prices fall near the end of the season for those wanting to unload their boats before they have to pay to store them over the winter months.
I still check everyday on sites like Craigslist and Kijiji and I have NOT noticed prices up for the packages out there. I'm wondering if the high price of gas is causing some to unload their boats keep the supply of them high keeping prices down. I'm not sure....just an observation.
Hey Lexx, it was great seeing his smile...you couldn't wipe it off his face!! I asked him if he was having a good time and his reply was that this is the best time he's had in a while, and that he caught his biggest fish ever!
It's a great group of people that makes the trek up there. Hope to see all of you again next year!
Send dates....I'll let you know quickly so you are not waiting in case you have someone else in mind too. Work is hectic, but I may be able to swing some time off.
Wow...very tempting...but the budget wont allow it right now. I do however, fit nicely in an oversized duffle bag.....a little food and drink and I can be luggage.
Brian....you are right about the photoshopping!!!
I had to look twice, but I think you got it wrong...
Everyone has photoshopped hair on your head...no the other way round.
Or, is that just your summer cut??? hehe.
Ahhh...makes sense then Mike. Ok...if I was with you, you'd have been saying "Come on, put the damn camera away and get your butt over here you lazy, good for nothing....."
At any rate, looked like a trip to remember!
Great videos Mike! I gotta tell you, in that first video, seeing you struggle with that boat while your dad was swatting flies and the cameraman just watching....LOL. Did you, even for a second think "A little help here guys??" LOL. Cant say that looks like fun Mike...to each their own I suppose....haha.
The other vids were entertaining as well...."Noooooo.....I dont wanna go back...."
Great stuff!! Sorry to hear about the flat Maureen, but it's great that you had a spare handy and put on. The fact that Kelvin followed you home shows that this truly is a community that cares!!
Wow Gerritt....that little boy of yours sure is a handsome fellow!!! It's apparent how great of a dad you are from these pics....classic pics for sure. Your son will look back at them when he's older with a smile on his face for sure!
We had already left for Lakair when you posted this....so I'm glad I caught it before it disappeared! Bly and I were talking about how it was strange we didn't get to see you this year as one of our highlights last year was fishing with you in your boat.
Take care man...looks like you are enjoying your summer. All the best to the wife and the little one.
It was great seeing you and Beans again! Congrats on the ski and the custom rod win! Some great pics there too!
Beans, thanks for adding your pics too....that one of bly and I...it does look like we are running....LOL.
See you guys again later!
Wow!! What a fantastic day!! If I caught that many in a day, I wouldn't be able to move my arms the next day....mind you, you guys look a lot younger than me....LOL.
Great job fellas...awesome pics and report.
TJ....tell you what...just don't try to kiss me again!!!! Man that was disgusting!!
And Brian...2nd in show eh?? LOL Then again, Spiels dog is sure is a beauty!
Awesome detail in that report Sean! Congrats on a few nice skis...I had one follow right to the boat on Sunday...my heart leaped out of my chest!! I was doing the figure 8 thing when suddenly it lurched forwards and my lure disappeared. I waited for the tug, and the I set the hook....much to my chagrin, the lure came right out with it. It slowly lumbered away...leaving me breathless.....
You are turning into quite the angler Sean!! Glad to see you doing so well out there.
