Nylon Waders clinging to body issue ?
ccmtcanada replied to bassfighter's topic in General Discussion
The weight of the water will compress the material against your body so that is normal. Even moreso of a feeling standing in a river with a current. Cool/cold water will alleviate that sweltering feeling for sure. What you felt is completely normal. -
Messy weather thats for sure. Anyone seeing the rain yet?
ccmtcanada replied to misfish's topic in General Discussion
Down here in Whitby is changing over to rain now. Got maybe 3 cm of snow. Will be gone tomorrow with temps rising to 11c and 15mm of rain! -
Happy new year everyone! Hope you all have a safe, happy and healthy 2015! Be sure to check your outdoors card and fishing licenses!! You can do it online at the service Ontario website if you're lazy like me and don't want to go on person!

This is why when my mom passed away that I learned these recipes so I could pass them down to my daughter.

My mom passed away 3 years ago and one of the things I did was get her recipe book. Holidays meant some home cooked treats! My favourite Christmas treat my mom made were mincemeat drop cookies. More of a cake than a cookie....here's the batch I made just yesterday My mom also made an amazing merengue cream pie....it took lots of time and mistakes, but I finally figured it out. I now make this as dessert for turkey dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Embarrassing/funny moments while fishing....
ccmtcanada replied to ccmtcanada's topic in General Discussion
These are hilarious!!! -
Probably 5-8cm here in Whitby this morning...20 drifts in spots. Winter is back!

I saw a topic like this on Facebook and thought I'd try it out here. We've all had hilarious/embarrassing moments while fishing or launching the boat. Let's hear your stories! I'll start.... First time ever launching a boat, I repeated to myself to put the plug in. After walking around my boat a dozen times I slowly backed the boat into the water. Before it totally floated off the trailer water started coming into the boat!! Yep...forgot to put the plug in!! Another time came while Muskie fishing. It was raining and my hands were soaking wet. I was using a spinning reel and throwing a big 12" bait. On one cast I wanted extra distance so I flung it out there with all I had! About mid way through, the bail closed and the momentum, coupled with wet hands/handle caused the rod to fly out of my hand and "splash!!" Yep. My rod ended up about 6 feet out of the boat and I slowly watched it sink. Lol.

I get calls for duct cleaning all the time. One time, I disguised my voice as an elderly man. "Hi. We have a crew in your area and we can give you a great deal on duct cleaning since we are already there" "What did you say sonny?" "Clean your ducts" "I don't own any ducks. I don't live on a farm" "No sir, I said ducts" "I told you. I don't have any ducks, but I have a dog. They make much better pets than a duck would" "DUCT cleaning. D-u-c-t-s" "How many times do I have to say it son? I don't have any ducks, and even if I did I'm pretty sure they clean themselves!" Click I laughed my butt off when he hung up!
