  1. That's what the report icon is for sirfish...direct report to Mods. Not the first spammer in the same forum category in the last week.
  2. Paddle boards, sail/surf boards and I presume Kayaks look like seals to them big toothy critters from below... Govern yourself accordingly ! You may want to tow a "trailer bait". Maybe offer to take someone behind you on a floater board or make up an artificial bait with a 6' styrofoam floater board and a couple fake flippers hangin off the sides! LOL
  3. Hey Maureen...if they won't come and get you when it's fixed give me a call. I've got that book from Joe for you anyhow! I'd lend you a vehicle but our spare truck..my plow truck...appears to have a collaped lifter so it' s headin for the shop as well.
  4. Great report and like Lew says definitely an A for effort!!
  5. Many pools and garages in the area here already have pop machines that are dispensing beer. Heck I use to sit in a hot tub in Rexdale in the 70's and we had an old machine right beside it in Ron's back yard. Don't know how we didn't get electrocuted. I'm not sure how high volume would be...but to the right market it will sell. I see the garage "bar" and the fancy car collection "garage" groups being your first target.
  6. ..and be sure you don't bump the latch with your foot on that box. Breaks off really easy! and then you have to pick up by the bottom. Like having a cheap box as a kid that dumps in the lake when you pick up by the handle. I know this first hand in both cases! I let them dry right out before returning to the box...but I found this year it works well and keeps them compact.
  7. If he's paid the extra premium for water coverage possibly. Standard policies usually read they don't cover sepage(sp) or repeated sepage. They do cover "sudden" floods, but not if it happens to be your above ground pool etc. One thing to keep in mind with insurance. If he is getting a 10% no claim discount on his policy at the current time he will lose that for 5 years if he claims as much as a 10 speed bike stolen. So add the 5 years of discount on the policy + what ever his deductible is and if the repair isn't going to cost more then don't even think about calling the insurance co. If the repairs are more...call and be very cautious in the asking if he's covered for sepage damage...or they could deny AND remove his no claim discount. I should add...the only real use for home owners insurance is for the dead beat that falls on your front steps and sues...and if your house catches on fire. Other than that......
  8. We call it Weeper pipe Mike..usually 4" in diameter and sometimes covered with a cloth sock to keep sediment out of it. Maybe that's where the "french" drain comes from..the "sock" over the pipe!
  9. All I can say is I bet Gerritt is gettin low on beer by now.....
  10. Slides down the rigger cable instead of hauling the ball up. Kinda like sending another clip out on the planer mast line. Anyone here use them. Good/Bad experiences. A couple sets of 4 would make good "stocking stuffers" ! Guess the hard part would be reaching out to put them on the cable! Thanks!
  11. Yah jinxed them now bud! I remember that last guy that did this....
  12. Great stuff Matt....but of course with Jamie after 10 months we still haven't got it thru his head....OFC logo !!!! We needed a 'ski for team 5 !..oh and probably those ugly Carp he was chasin this year as well.
  13. LOL Mike... Never say never Cliff....some true die hard will post one up.... ..and what Tybo said
  14. Just don't tell me I need to run a generator to my Mom's like I did in '98
  15. At 60...I'd be more tempted to hire a service to do his lane for him as a yearly Christmas gift. Snowblowers are fine in light powder..but get a sticky day and they can be a physical nightmare.
  16. Yep...trolling BOQ with Lloyd. We had a few waves roll over the back..but never in the case that this thought was brought to your mind tonight!
  17. I'd just finished a PM and stated exactly the same.... why all the "sponsored" guys are running Evinrudes in the US is because it's easier to get their sponsorship/cheap deals/ to try and sell their engines to the general public based on preception. "Pros" run the sheeet out of their engines and don't care about longevity...as they are someone elses problem next year.
  18. $40 fuel burn vs $135 Not in your dreams from the most fuel efficient injected engine ever built to the most miserably tuned/carburated POS ....when installed on the same boat. There is not a huge %age difference in lbs fuel burn/Hp in a combustion engine from WWII technology to present day fuel injection. Different boats..different burns. 2 strokes historically burned twice as much fuel as 4 strokes as they sucked fuel both on compression and exhaust strokes for cooling and their simple design. Todays fuel injected 2 strokes now of course shoot it in on the compression stroke only and why they are competing with the fuel burn of 4 strokes. But the $40 to $135 fuel burn comparision is...I'll be nice...specks opinion. Had same engine in a 26' fiberform that would take $150 to get to Honey harbour and back from Midland and a 26' Tempest that would make it to Manitoulin on the same fuel. All depends on how the boat rides or pushes water. Everyone has their favouries and opinions no different than Ford/Chevy/Dodge/Toyota. No need to insult those that have chosen a different manufacturer than your favourite... Exactly Express...you'd have to be leaking or neglectful as very minimal is going out as blow by in the exhaust. Compared to a 2 stroke that is using oil in the fuel mix and like my 2003 115 Johnson (Everrude/Bombardia(sp)) that spits oil out the exhaust into the lake while idling
  19. At least you weren't fishin with 8 rods Gerrit ! LOL I thought Xcoppers was "we win or it's free"! Guess what they don't tell you is what they really charge. I have no experience with them or pleading. The only charge I've had in 28 years is failing to show "device" (Safetly sticker) for my 34' flat bed trailer and pull vehicle. That one somehow was "lost" when filing at the court house.
  20. ...and if you have a last name with an apostrophy in it their poor programing won't let you buy online and print a temporary...So you'll have to call in/mail in and wait for your card.
  21. Shawn...with a bucket off each front cleat my boat had no noticable difference in steering. We weaved through the masses without effort..the odd finger...arm waving and such...but no difficulties on our part! LOL
  22. That's what I thought on the low bass boats jig...not an issue in my boat choice with a 25" transom and 53' mid ship..but could make or break some bass boats and something Hookset will need to consider.
  23. Power's been in and out up here in Penetang at least 10 times today. Battery back up keeps my computer alive. Freezing rain has now turned to snow and the wind has died down. Still out of the East though...guess we're in the back swirl today.
