  1. Might have been the town works guys..but I suspect it was more than likely someone that's goin fishing this afternoon.
  2. Link works ... ...and BTW..book delivered fella.
  3. Yep with slider even...am I good to go? ...oh and Rick...what Terry said ! Thanks anyhow....
  4. GREAT report...terrible what "sins" can do to a guy. LOL You were rewarded nicely for being a good boy.
  5. Probably true...I did get her a captains chair for her side..think that will do?
  6. After playing Penetang Taxi service for Maureen and doing my stops in Midland I checked out the Pete Peterson Ramp and channel this morning on the way back home. No ice on the Bay at all...a very small amount of slush/ice half way down the channel. Ramp/launch area is clear thanks to the current from the stream and someone even hand shovelled the ramp and salted it to boot...so if you're in the mood this week...now you know!
  7. I found Goodyear Eagle M&S 225's worked really well on my 5 speed T-Bird SC. Needed someone to walk on both sides of the car to keep it straight on street tires...those Mud and snows would go just about anywhere in comparison. They're a bit more pricy of course.
  8. Yep...I hear yah...no different than the one on my Zetor tractor. The one that dies instantly is the John Deer 410 hoe as it has electric input (on/off) and I sure hope that her mechanics first the glow plugs and now the pump weren't just a loose fuse that was mentioned previously....as no matter what at this point they'll be stickin her with the bill. They are letting it sit all night to be sure it starts cold in the am and then she's gonna call me for a ride again.
  9. I know the ice shots give an idea of thickness based on colour of blue. Would it be thermal imaging from the satellite that is giving the green to the shallower spots as they cool off first compared to the deep stuff.
  10. For Maureens sake...I hope your suggestions are both wrong... as her car is done and I'm picking her up to go get it in the am.
  11. In case any of you are in the same boat I am, with soft water almost over and a few reels needing service. I thought I'd call before I used the address on the warrantee cards in the boxes... before sending my 22 yr old Mag II and a used only twice Pen 209 in for repairs. Rocky's Tackle 10 Brammer Drive Orillia, Ontario L3V 7T4 705-325-3526
  12. With Paul now reminding me of HP...$3000+/- was the difference when talking 225 and 250 engines. Don't think there should be that much spread on a 115.
  13. Leave the LCX110C off for now and go 4 stroke ! LOL Like I said early $3000 +/- was the difference to go Verado on any of the Lunds I had quoted compared to the Optimax. Different Merc Smart gauges etc all taken into consideration. Tough choices and nobody can make the final call but yourself. Good luck with 'er.
  14. Thanks Dave ! My main use will be on Lake T for suspended Wally's in the 30 foot range and lakers at 80 feet. Mind you I think I may just be putting the planner mast to use this year on the lake BOQ style. Sure hope I don't "clothes line" too many boaters going the other way that have never seen that style of fishing.
  15. Just keep looking forward Bill...don't get like me and leave the old stuff rotting in the yard because you can't part with it! BTW...ever heard of a long rope? Tie it to the bow and the bumper...launch the boat in so it floats and drive out from under it and the rope will pull the bow up on shore. None of this wading in ice cold spring water!
  16. Thanks guys...gonna order a few and give them a whirl. I have the retrieve cord so should be able to clip them on. Guess it's alot easier if you actually have the Walker units with Auto retrieve on them as it brings the cable right in and up tight to the boom.
  17. Other question would be how much service do they really need by a dealer. Our little Moto4 - 70 is still running fine after 22+ years and it's been serviced once and only because I took the rear end out of it draggin a screen with cement blocks piled on top to smooth a 2000' x 100' runway prior to spreading seed 14 years ago. Pretty sure it still has the original spark plug in it!
  18. Hang them all first of course and make sure they fit correctly/latch correctly. Then either remove the hinges or tape them off. Then take them outside/garage..set them on cardboard and tack the boards across the tops and have at 'er. Let them dry a day or so..put on some cloth gloves to avoid dirty fingers in your new paint and rehang. Painting two bi-fold doors by hand at the cottage with 2 coats took as long as doing every door in the house here with the gun.
  19. Jeff...I painted every interior door in the house in one shot. Take the doors and peg a couple straps of lumber across the tops with the doors V'd so they stand up/make it easy to spray both sides. I used a Wagner Electric at the time and didn't need to thin the paint at all. IF using an air gun at least run the paint thru a strainer funnel.
  20. QUOTE "that fish was on the legend perch bait..."
  21. If my memory serves me correctly ..he wants to pull the engine flywheel to get at the coil(s).
  22. I'd toss the O-ring and go with a plastic washer...but that's just me!
  23. Leah's probably wouldn't be a good idea then Roy...
