Thanks Chris...but I've never seen anyone post here you could fish the cement plant with 2 lines. Always past (east) of the Ferry. Many fish the cement plants sometimes calmer waters...but I've never seen anyone say with 2 lines. U didn't find out the hard way did ya?
-
Great report Tony and Aaron. Great fish for sure...but I think I'll stick to calm waters for now. Don't think I'd even take my Baron up into there.....

Is Lakair a public place or a place people expect privacy...LOL I don't know whether to go back to the shop or sit here and click refresh..

Gee...who's next the "not to be used as a floatation device" guy.... I'd better find/save them all before it's tooooo late.

Talked first hand with a gentleman that was charged last year because he didn't have the head to tail of the fish he'd cleaned to go along with the fillets he had in his cooler. He accepted the fine as his own stupidity/forgetfullness. Regs state if you are fishing a size limit lake the fish must be readily measurable at all times, UNLESS and where it gets comfusing....they are being prepared for immediate consumption (which was what he was doing as heading for a shore lunch), prepared at an overnight accom for storage, being transported on the water from a temporary overnight accom to your primary residence and you are not engaged in fishing at the time, being transported overland. The last one would tell me that as soon as you are on the ramp you can fillet and discard the "evidence". Doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me.

Possibly Thursday on the Bay for muskie...but I doubt we'll be able to get out if todays never lifting fog is any indication of the weeks weather. I'm not holding my breath that we'll make it out. Also...read you insurance policies guys. Many will find you have a layup period starting December 1st.

I doubt that ice is there anymore Bcrdi911. 10C all day...rain...16 tomorrow..rain...rain Wed and Thur. -30C in Northern Alberta with 2' + of snow according to the wife's cousin today. Nasty sheeet for working the rigs and makin ice up there.
-
Hopefully he can see the lake....sure can't go out on Gbay. I've been to town three times today and still haven't been able to see water for the fog. Suspect it's gonna be that way right 'till Friday when the cold and snow hits.

Thanks for the report Joey.

Yes Roy...the True wildlife of the lake. Generally only comes out on hot days...but there's always the rare cool day surprise.

Another must ask...does the user wear glasses? Wife bought me a nice set that you can hold tight to your glasses and they work GREAT. Not so great for someone without glasses as hard to keep your eyelashes off them. Can't help with the brand..silly me left them hanging beside the kitchen window in Temagami where they are always handy for the houseboats goin by

Can't find the one for boats...but I've always had this one book marked from my car search days. Poke around that site and you may find what you need. 72 hours prior all documents must be at the border crossing. First you go there with the item..get you paperwork/clearance and next stop is Canadian Customs for more paperwork, tax collection etc and a trip to CTC for a trailer certification. Not sure how you do that since you won't even have plates to be pulling the trailer yet. You may even need to float the boat/trailer and all on something else...like bringing in an old car. http://www.customs.gov/xp/cgov/export/expo...tor_vehicle.xml

We were on the dock when two boats of them came in and they asked us if we knew what the regs where as to "slot" size. We informed them one fish over 25" only. We thought it pretty strange to bring in fish and then ask what the regs on them...but none illegal from the two boats. Two guys in the smaller boat had 2 fish and three in the other had three fish. Could have been a few guys given the job of cleaning the whole groups catch. A dicy area if a CO happened to walk in...but then again you'd never want a CO looking in the cleaning room at Lakair when we all throw fish at TJ and Kevin to clean to feed 60 of us for Saturday's fish fry.

Nice fish guys!! Headin for 16C on Wednesday....

Nope....keep tryin Shaun..hit the preview button till you see what you want and then hit post.

Chris...good luck out there! Nothing wrong with Riggers when used correctly. They also help in the desire to slow the boat down. We didn't have any fish blow on us. Manns 20's, TD-11's or Reef runners on the planners and on the riggers if a spoon on only down 30 or 35' and if a diver on the ball only 5 feet down and if say a shallow (5 or 6 ' runner) bait we'd put the ball down at 20. Fish caught on all set ups and like I said no issues with healthy release. I'd start my day down there again with one line Bleeding tiger TD-11 and the other a Mann's 20 Blue Berry Muffin...but that's just me. You can drive right into Picton...stay to the right at the end of the shopping/main drag and follow right to the Ferry if you want to launch on the North shore after a Ferry Ride. You can also launch at the Marina before the Ferry...others here did that last weekend but I can't give you any directions as to whether there is a sign/launch fee etc for there. You can launch in McFarlen(sp) park just after the Sportsman Inn. Bit of a run to the Ferry from there, but not a big deal. If you want to fish one line each the 1st Cement Plant is straight across from the park launch.
