Still 30" of ice on a Temagami back lake as of today and sledding is fine on the main lake.. ... will be awhile yet!

May 20th.. Temagami currently has 3 feet of snow in the bush and 30+ good inches of ice on the lake.

So while we all piss and moan about a slogan change on future manufactured plates, who was the premier when they "wasted our money" and changed it from the perfect "Keep it Beautiful" to the current "Yours to Discover"?? Maybe we should just go back to no slogan...

They hit ice estimated at 19 FEET thick just off Hope Island yesterday and this is the third coast guard ice breaker to try in the past month that has been unsuccessful at getting the grain boat out of Midland Harbour. It'll be awhile..

Been a bad winter for that, with numerous marinas suffering the same fate. Temagami Marine lost 1/2 of a storage section 2 weeks back affecting about 24 boats. Bad Winter for snow load with temperature cycles locking the snow to steel roofs vs the usual shedding process. Even here the snow NEVER fell off my hangar or shop roofs 5/12 and 3/12 pitches.

I'm at a loss as to why the judge would even state it like that "8 years for each count"... some will think he's going to jail for 128 years... not just 8. As Terry stated, I think most of us have blown through a stop sign at some point of our lives and thankfully didn't end up in a similar mess. If the bus driver hadn't have been speeding... the guy would have cleared the intersection before the bus got there. Just sayin...

All fishing from shore is apparently illegal down there now. I know that on Lloyd and Keith's trip in December that they had to be up and fishing at 5 AM and packed up and gone before the police made their rounds at about 10AM every day. Trying to make you take a Charter is the goal it seems...
