  1. i wouldn't get the michelin LTX if you do any kind of off-roading -- they are terrible. if you are looking for a 100% onroad tire then go for it. they are quiet and treadwear is outstanding. bridgestone dueler AT would be my pick.
  2. there aren't too many 2 pc muskie rods on the market however, okuma does make a telescopic rod. evx is the series of the rods.
  3. no specifics but i'd try some of the streams going into algonquin on the east side of 11
  4. off the top of my head the French River supply post & marina comes to mind but I don't think it's what you are thinking of. maybe this page will help jar your memory? http://frenchriveren.iwebez.com/siteengine/ActivePage.asp?PageID=162
  5. something with a warranty
  6. we call mine "Knot Whipped"
  7. no it's not. a treble with points lopped off so it is left with just a single hook will be incredibly weak it will bend/or break. just look at the gauge of wire. do it right, cut off the treble and attach a single siwash -- they are strong.
  8. you are not going to find much crown land on nippissing. it's either private, provincial park (fees) or native land (no camping)

    Boat Help

Do you have a livewell? Works great.
  11. This is sweet.. now I know which garages contain the good stuff.
  12. why not just paddle across? make sure you're flying a pirate flag to get the attn of the islanders.
  13. Lund & Crestliner -- two of the best names in boat manufacturers out there. I doubt you'd go wrong with either. I've been fishing off the back of an Explorer SS 1675 for the past 5 or 6 years. Very wide, very stable & handles rough water great. It has lots of storage space and ample room for 3 guys to fish out of easily.
  14. Don't rely on the chip.
  15. There's lotsa things that are a scam about the IGFA hahahaha and yes a fish has to be in-season.
  16. the IGFA is the only organization I am aware of that keeps line records. you may want to check their website. I don't know that they have a live release category though. btw, if I am not mistaken, the O'brien record fish was caught on 8lb test. Although it was clubbed.
  17. well it would not have, because it was out of season.
  18. 1st saturday in May for Pike on L. Ontario. 2nd saturday in May for Walleye in Kawarthas - seems odd thought it was 3rd for inland lakes.
  19. Have you given Rockey's in Orillia a call?
  20. thank you Fisherman!
  21. Have you tried Diver's Nook on Bowes? He has some tackle in there.
  22. Uniden MC535 VHF What would a fair price be? Along with an 8' shakespear antenna.
  23. I would take it to angling outfitters on central pkwy in mississauga. sorry that's angling specialties
  24. Ohh me too!! Just not for trolling.
  25. Clive, like Wayne said, it's very quiet and like you said, doesn't engage properly and just doesn't seem like it would last. Mine are taped in the "OFF" position because I had a habit of accidently engaging them the way I palm the reel when I cast. I'm sure the reel is for ok trolling but, it'd be one of my last choices in this category of reels due to the high gear ratio and poor clicker.
