  1. you guys PAY to launch a boat??? inconceivable.
  2. 3.14
  3. 1st saturday in june. (this coming wknd)
  4. Congrats Gavin!! Really well designed/thought out. I'm still going to pick your brain about a few things.. if I can tear you away from your new baby.
  5. I don't remember the time of year other than summer. I have seen them in the Sudbury area on a few occasions. June - Sept.
  6. that would be north enough. i have seen them as far south as lindsay.
  7. Grimsby tackle used to have a fair selection of muskie lures - I haven't been in a couple of years but you may wanna give them a try.
  8. Can't compare to Sunset as I've never stayed there. Westview cottages are simple, no frills deals. George has his rules but seeing as you're looking for a family outing, you won't have an issue there.
  9. hope you changed your oil after bill. seafoam (and products like it) will leak past your rings and thin out the oil, which could lead to bearing damage. not an issue with a 2 stroke outboards but 4 strokes (and obviously automobiles).
  10. SCBS, I like it Tybo - doesn't take much of an imagination what the last two letters can also stand for.
  11. how about we just ban liberals who like to stick their nose into other peoples' personal responsibility/accountability. sometimes i want to separate out of southern ontario. tell ya what, if you feel unsafe, don a pfd or get off the water. i will do the same.
  12. jeezus you guys want your penis held by the gov't taking a whizz too? the toilet seat could fall and hurt you. this is asinine.
  13. good on you for keeping an open mind. all too often, people get hung up on 'old faithful' spots and techniques. when they don't produce, they toss their arms up in the air and blame it on low water, no fish or some other factor. seems to happen a lot of nipissing. fish are still there, adjust your game plan.
  14. the "low" line represents historical lows. for the period of may 1 to about aug 1, 1999 was the lowest in history. it wasn't much above the historical lows for the remainder of the year.
  15. i'd have to go through year by year. they've been keeping records since the '30s.
  16. Not true Bernie. Solid line is this year, top line highest, bottom line lowest, middle median. This is from the North Bay wateroffice.ec.gc.ca station.
  17. HH, an inquiry with mother nature? they drain the lake in the fall to a level that will be 'safe' in the spring given average rain/snow based on years of history. we're nowhere near the point of predicting how wet/dry the winter will be! Let's say they guess wrong and we have an unusually wet winter. You open the dams and flood everyone down below? Nip is part of a watershed not the watershed. btw, nip has been lower.
  18. Would you prefer they guessed the other way and your basement is filled with wateR?
  19. there really isnt much they can do. we're at the mercy of mother nature no matter how much we think otherwise.
  20. nicely done Simon!
  21. the directions to Cabelas.
  22. avoiding the suckers crowds

    Gar

a gar is not a dogfish. bowfin are sometimes referred to as dogfish.
  24. I like option #2. That lawrence exit causes my blood pressure to rise unless I am one of the last minute mergers instead of waiting in line like everyone else.
  25. i'll take her. you gotta stay on shore.
