  1. That does sound ugly.. TJ I'd take the 400 to 401 east to Allen Rd South to Eglinton, hang a left then make a right on Bathurst like fishnsled and I mentioned earlier. You'll hit a backup on the Allen as you get to Eglinton but it should be ok otherwise.
  2. Get off @ Jameson or even Humber Bridge then and take Lakeshore.
  3. Don Valley Parking Lot is propably too far east. If you want to stay on the hwys, I'd take the 400 -> 401 West -> 427 South -> QEW/Gardiner East. Otherwise, take the Allen Rd to Eglinton East. Then south on a major artery. Have fun.
  4. Another happy MSR customer. I have two units.
  5. i suspect temps are in the mid 50s right now. there is a weather buoy on nipissing - if you can find it, you will get a more accurate number. in any event, that will all change in a week -- forecast is for sunny, warm and calm. yes, we had an early ice out but it has been cool since - i would not expect things to be that far ahead at this point. the areas you mention are on the upper french - then water will be about 2' low. lower beneath the dams.
  6. i think everyone's missed the most important thing here. did you catch anything?
  7. Do you really need super sensitivity for spinnerbaits or other baits you just cast out and crank in? I say no the fish clobber these style of baits but, it's your money. The premiere would be fine. I am sure the triumph is a good rod too - I have a ML spinning that I use for walleye jigging that is plenty sensitive.
  8. carp and (when they are running) smelt and salmon.
  9. if I was a tournament angler, I would recommend them to all my competition.

  11. Jocko, Randy post this link: http://www.memquisitlodge.net/historynipissing.html a few pages back which suggests that the dams increased the water level on Nip by an avg of 7' in the first decade of the 1900s. Keepn my fingers crossed for more rain for yous.
  12. I understand that Jocko.. gotta balance the needs of both the lake and river. edit: just remember nip, was a mudhole before the dams (7' lower on avg). one could say the reverse is true. Have you had any meaningful rain in the last week?
  13. i am waiting as well. the msg did change in the last few weeks.. now it says they are waiting on gov't approval. hoping it comes up soon.
  14. this topic reeks. it's winnie's pooh gb.
  15. I sent Eddy an email to see what conditions are like. I will update you. The PWGC site says the Lwr French is nearly 100cms (1 metre) below normal at Dry Pine. Open the locks!!!!
  16. several.. i have inline spinners bigger than that too it is a lot of stuff but it doesn't all come with me. believe it or not, i try to keep it simple stupid. where & when (time of year) i am fishing dictates what comes along. ie. topwaters stay home in the late fall. giant baits, deep divers stay home in early season.
  17. about 80% of the muskie stuff. pike & trout stuff is in the boat and shed. thank god i don't fish bass
  18. how well do they work on keeping the critters at bay on a calm evening, in a boat, placed midship? will they keep the persons at the bow and stern relatively bug free?
  19. a boat of some form has been in since late march.. i think we were 1st ones out on gbay hahah. this pics data says March 20th
  20. uni knot works. you don't need 8 wraps like you do with braid, 4-5 oughta do it if you need a loop, perfection loop is what I use.
  21. absolutely.. mileage will vary with tires. on my jeep, it sucked with no-seasons and it sucks with ATs but no noticeable difference in suckiness. if there is a difference, it's very small.
  22. I have not noticed any difference in fuel economy. They may or may not be a little noisier, especially if you go with a really aggressive tire -- that's a non-issue for me but, some people don't like it -- it certainly won't be like running a bias ply mud terrain though. I think an A/T tire is for you then.
