  1. you're welcome i am curious, and i admit i don't do that type of fishing but, have you gone through many c3s 6500s with that style of fishing? the reason they fail a lot of guys is due to the large lures and strain on gears from repeatedly casting and retrieving them that muskie guys put on them. the clicker, drag on the c3 are excellent and i would think would stand up to that type of fishing no problem.
  2. ahh gotchya.. see my edit. no clicker.
  3. i have the 31 i would not recommend the reel for trolling. it does have a clicker but it sucks. it's a casting reel. i am sure the smaller 20 series is no better. to answer your question specifically, the reel in the picture on the cabelas site looks like a 20 series and it has no clicker switch on it.
  4. wine cork or even a bunch of cigarette butts squeezed together do an excellent job of representing a drain plug. from experience.
  5. can't speak for the raybans but the costa del mar's i bought have been worth it.. glass polarized lense and really built well.
  6. ya left out 0-1.
  7. I'm curious as well. Nice boat!!
  8. hahaha, nah Phil, that's great slave.
  9. here's what a 20lb trout looks like and i bet you thought this was gonna be full of small fish, hosts who've fallen from grace & over crowded lakes...
  10. I saw that article this morning. That thing is an abomination. I can only hope nature reclaims that land. I'd be furious if I owned a piece of heaven on that lake.
  11. I thought they'd be good enough too.. 'till I tried cutting the hooks on a suick and ended up going through two pairs -- I bought two pair during a similar type sale. I am sure the bigger CT cutters wouwld be good but they are a two-handed affair. So no, I don't think they are "good enough".
  12. those are pretty much useless for anything muskie sized especially above a 5/0
  13. lebaron in mississauga consistently has better pricing unless you hit a sale @ bps. plus it's closer for you.
  14. good luck on the couch
  15. if you get a chance, pick up muskies on the shield by dick pearson -- the book or the dvd. lots of great info.
  16. Look at the eagle fishmark 320. was recently the best deal going. it's a good graph, we use it through the ice and on the bow of the boat. you can buy a portable kit for it or build one yourself for much le$$.
  17. jedi, this site is what it is -- too big, too commercial and too full of people who don't fish for anything like that. that is what those smaller sites are for.
  18. never too early. we were out last wknd. give them hell!!
  19. I was waiting for the Rapala reply.
  20. a 6500 c4 is a bass reel, 6500 c3s are ok for reasonable use. but don't expect them to last with the double 10 rage.
  21. as compared to what? (previous vehicle) insurance runs higher here on civics than other cars in its class for the reason irishfield posted.
  22. all this hoopla 'bout a fish that would look better on a quick strike rig.
  23. I'd go with the Matrix/Vibe. Focus would be a good choice too. You'll pay a premium on the insurance on a Civic... plus.. it's a Civic. I've not owned a Ford before but have the others; Honda (Acura Integra), Toyota Celica. Both made it well over 300k kms. I now drive a Jeep, approaching 400k kms.
