  1. I've a 15' with a 40hp - tiller.
  2. on my to-do list.. need someone to get me down there safely. i guess out the key and up is the safer bet.
  3. Why? it helps keep the hordes away. given that it can fluctuate 8'+ between seasons, any chart would be less than ideal anyway. I know some that have marked it up real well.. with their prop
  4. say hi to ed, and take a look up at 'muskie boys' entries above your head as you're walking out onto the dock through testosterone alley.
  5. all seasons it's just tougher more dangerous in the cold, not only are you battling the temps - you can't see poop.
  6. nothing wrong with steel leaders if that's what you have, they are more bite proof than 500# fluoro.

    Lots of Photos

how did you sit still for 30 seconds in the 1st shot? LOL great photos.
  8. You'll likely get stuck
  9. send me a msg, i'm on 73 acres near orangeville.. pond, mix of wooded areas and field (though right now they have crop on them, once harvested in the fall the fields are in play too.
  10. I thought thats how you're supposed to do it with a bunk trailer? Never seen/launched with the winch strap attached. Never seen/dropped the boat off the bunks either.
  11. generous offer Mike and to those of you too far and/or not willing to ship, cutting a blade bait apart and re-using the components on a brand new shaft and rebending the wire is pretty simple thing to do if you keep some straight wire, pliers and perhaps vise grips onhand. I've done it a few times in the boat.. few minutes and you have a new bait.
  12. I have an LG 55" 3D and very happy. There was no premium for the 3D when I bought so why not go with 3D? There are two types of 3D; active and passive. The former requires more expensive (proprietary??), bulkier, heavier, battery operated glasses, the latter does not. LG uses passive, Samsung (I believe) active. In terms of programming it varies by provider, but there is not much out there as of yet.. I am on Shaw Direct satellite we get occasional free 3d programs and I believe a PPV 3D channel. For the most part you are limited to 3D Blu-Rays of which there is a rapidly growing amount. LG, Samsung and Panasonic are the 3 brands too look at IMO -- LG are likely the cheapest good quality TVs, Samsung builds a good product priced a little higher and Panasonic are great if you have the $$$ and couch potato enough to warrant a higher end TV like that. LG IMO, are the best bang for the buck for the casual viewer. If you are concerned with such matters, LED TVs will hurt least on your monthly Hydro bill, Plasma most. The power consumption difference is not insignificant.
  13. Could very well be related to contamination of the water. Cisco are near the bottom of the chain, primarily feeding on plankton, insects and crustaceans. They'd be among the 1st readily visible citizens of the lake affected. It's still too early to ring the warning bell as it really could be anything.. water temps, oxygen levels etc.
  14. Grand Cherokee v8 is my tow vehicle I wouldn't advocate anything less than a v8 if you are planning on a bass boat. Keep the Mazda for daily driving. I keep an 'ole Tercel for my commuting (100+kms roundtrip daily) I come out ahead on monthly costs even after if you figure extra insurance/plates for second vehicle just by the fuel savings.
  15. 80lb minimum is what I use, casting distance is not an issue with baits that weight 2oz+. A weak(er) lb test line is when the $20 lure suddenly stops mid-air on a 'professional overrun' and sails off into the distance after the 50lb line snaps.
  16. x2 it'll be real easy to find, it will have lowrance or eagle on it.
  17. Pretty shure Lake X is right around there too might wanna give it a whirl -- fishn's always great there.
  18. No. It only does 2AMP. You want a charger capable of at least 6-8, preferably 10 amps This is the one I use and it too goes on sale frequently. It does 2 & 10 amp and will cycle between 2 amp and 10 amp when the battery is almost full. It will also shut off on its own when the battery is full -- hence automatic charge. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/3/Batteries/BatteryChargers/PRDOVR~0111567P/MotoMaster+Automatic+10%2B2A+Battery+Charger.jsp?locale=en
  19. that is neat.. and different.
  20. Where I was, the storm whipped through saturday evening and the time to fish was up till that time. The rest of the wknd was great suntanning/drinking beer on the dock weather. Sunday the winds were stupid and monday was a bluebird day. Of course, if you're a wknd warrior you can't pick your days and you make do but it was certainly a tough wknd for fishing weather wise.
  21. jeffw you info is outdated or incorrect and if you work for a petrocanada marketer then you are out of work. suncor owns petrocanada now and all grades of their (sunoco) fuel contain ethanol. only shell premium is ethanol free.
  22. Lake X
  23. may have to plan a trip around the 8th then 15' mirrorcraft with a 40 yammy and the only boat around with a black cocker spaniel on board.
  24. it's a nice ramp. i've only used it once late last fall so there was no issues with a crowd and i was able to use the CEO spot right on top of the ramp but i could see it being a zoo in the warm months.
