  1. Fantastic report, glad to see you were able to live your dream. But dude, you used the pose in one of your sturgeon pic's.
  2. Well done John, glad to see you managed to get out.
  3. Awesome Ben. I wish my lake had current areas to target, that would make things a lot easier. (tough bite for me last week).
  4. Looks a great time Cliff, and a pretty darn nice pike! Jason caught a monster last week with me as well, seems to be the week of the big pike on OFC.
  5. Nice mornin' boys. So Bill, will you be doing some more fishing on your doorstep now?
  6. Nice haul of fish Simon, and a great start to your open water fishing!
  7. I like the way you did it, all on your own with no help. Well done, nice fish!
  8. Awesome Ben! What were the water temps? Amazingly at my place in QC this weekend they were 53-55 degrees..
  9. #1 and #2 EGB's in various colours. Phoebe's in copper, gold and metallic perch.
  10. Good stuff man! (Seems even carp guys are using "the pose" now. LOL! )
  11. Sweet. You might be okay for Thursday they just downgraded the rain forecast where I'm headed from 20mm to 3mm.
  12. Maybe, but that's only because everyone's been brainwashed by the glut of home reno shows on tv. Usually hosted by "flamboyant" personalities wearing plum and strawberry.
  13. Nice job Steve. Not surprising how you caught them. My number one bait for shallow post spawn pike is a 4" power leech on a light jighead. They suck it in like candy.
  14. Well done Simon, bet it feels good to fish the softwater again.
  15. Nice pan full of fillets and some bonus wildlife, doesn't get much better.
  16. I grew up in Carlisle and spent a lot of my youth fishing Mountsberg. There were always lots of water snakes back in the day. Looks like there still are.
  17. Looks like the old boy lived a pretty full life. Was the 3rd pic posted from 50 years ago as well? That's like something from those old pioneer days photos LOL! The fish you posted pic's of looks like a splake to me. While splake are naturally occuring, most stocked splake are sterile I believe. I wouldn't worry about it too much...
  18. You'll get 'em next time bud, nice report nonetheless! If you're not sure what species of fish are in that lake the district MNR biologist likely does. I'd give him a call... (If it was me I'd re-paint the deck and trailer bottom forest green. Everything blue on the trailer re-paint a taupe colour. Deck rails the same green as the deck, spindles taupe. )
  19. Nice rig dude. Are you fishing tournaments this year, why the sponsors?
  20. Uhhhh, no. Bass are in season right now in Ontario where I fish for them. Beyond that, beauty walleye Diggy, nice way to start the season.
  21. That's pretty much exactly what my license fees were as a non resident of QC. Last weekend when I opened the camp I figured I'd grab my license. Pulled out 3 twenties figuring that'd cover it ($53 last few years). It's now $63. (It's worth it though )
