  4. Hey guys and gals I entered a contest on WFN have a look it's a cool video of some big Lake Erie steel head jumping the waterfalls you can vote every 12 hours if you like it's for a $500 gift cert just so you know it's going to a new fish finder if I win LOL I'm way behind in votes so not likely anyways thanks for lookin . http://www.wfn.tv/mafv/view.php?entry=206 And don't ask were it is either LOL
  5. F_F I have general tires evetrek on my magnum RWD and they handle better than the cheap snows I used to have on other vehicles I got them from CT on a BOGO sale cost me $428 taxes/instalation included for 17" tires there's 2 kinds of evertrek one has a more agressive tread pattern thats the ones I got. like others have said doesn't matter how good your tires are if your driving like a idiot your gonna crash.
  6. I had the same experience with the Invisa-braid cost me $30 worth of lures (A bulldog and a big husky jerk and a big spinner bait) all with in a couple hours on 65lb test braid would just break mid cast for no reason at all .I have been using shakespere cajun braid for 2 seasons now and have been very happy with it .
  7. Vinny the tribs have been 2 bows for a sport lisence and 1 for conservation for a few years now only brown and speckle remain a 5 fish limit but as far as the guys spend lots on boats and charters doesn't make any sence to me ,they will still be able to take 2 fish home if they choose to and thats plenty of fish IMO .
  8. I hope this is true about the steelhead limits and I REALLY hope Lake Erie's limits will be adjusted also I hate seeing 10-15 wild hens laying in the grass gilled, no one need 30-40lbs of trout half of it (from once a year charter clients )prolly ends up buried in the bottom freezer and eventually thrown out this is good news for the great lakes steel head even if they are just talking about it
  9. The fuji is on sale at staples for $159 i believe I think the thread that was mentioned was the one I started and after looking at all the options I went with the fuji and have been happy with it so far great battery life and easy to use/ set up to take great shots, like this one.
  10. Nice fat brown Hope the rivers around here are fishable monday still real muddy.
  11. hows it work for shore anglers can we pre-pay so we can start fishing at 7 ?it would take close to a hour to get from the queenston launch to the bottom of the whirlpool and be fishing just curious not sure if I can make it but it's possible.
  12. Thanks guys the first pic was sorta accidental I was just messing with the macro and trying to get half under water but those didn't turn out very well
  13. Yea my home trib is just about over it's banks luckily I know a couple smaller systems that clear fast be careful if your out fishing fast cold water can be a real bugger if ya go swimming.
  14. Well I have been able to get out quite a bit this fall and have had some really good days on the river here's a few shots from this fall.
  15. I fish a resavior that you can see the bottom in 15 FOW and pitch with a 7'6" MH fast action PT tour edition with a curado 201d on it with red 65lb test braid and have caught some huge bass out of it this way I beleive that this technique is a reaction bite and it doesn't matter even in crystal clear water what line you use I could prolly go bigger but it's not needed I have seen big bass come 4-5 feet out of a laydown in 2-3fow and smash a 1/2ounce jig on the drop in crystal clear water so IMO I don't think flouro is necessary in most situations but if it gives you more confidence you will catch more fish and that's what matters .
  16. pretty sure thats the guy that won it not Dave selling it if I remember correctly it was a dude named Dario that won.
  17. Thanks guys and gals it was a fun day.
  18. Good luck man hope your back on the river in no time.
  19. I use 5-6gram drennans in all conditions I find the float does little to spook fish but some guys wear camo and crouch down low in clear water conditions and I were blaze orange so I don't get shot by hunters.
