  1. haahahahahah. That's great..
  2. I'm not a cat person…. Even though I have owned several growing up. If someone dropped off a sick cat at my house, and expected me to adopt it, and flip all the vet bills… Off to humane society we would go.... Someone out there will take care of it (spend $$$$$). I could see how some cat lovers would take offense to using a sick cat as “Musky bait”. I kind of take offence to that too; we don’t want any Muskie’s getting sick out there!
  3. Nice catch. Sounds like a ton of fun. What depth where you fishing??
  4. Not sure if you're serious or not. If you are.... NF means Not Fishing. (as in the post is not related to fishing). Others feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.. That just what I always thought it meant.
  5. And the $7 200 donated to the MNR!!
  6. Turkey hunting this spring, I saw more bears and coyotes then I did Turkeys! And the bears where very bold. They would keep approaching me even after I stood up, waved my arms and made noise. So I let the 12 gauge make some noise! It’s a little louder than me I think I’m going to get a bear tag this year, and go target them. I’ve only eaten bear once, in the form of sausage, and I really enjoyed it.
  7. Nice rack on your Buck! Good way to fill the freezer. I like the shot placement How long was the shot??
  8. PM sent Be more then happy to quide ya for a 1/2 day. Simcoe, Georgian Bay, or anywhere in between. (I prefer G-Bay myself)
  9. That was posted a few months back. I only remember that because it was the first post I read on this forum. It still makes me cringe to see is a second time!
  10. Ya, that sounds about right. Gotta love rural Ontario. Born and raised.
  11. I never would have thought of using automotive window sealer. I've got some slow leaks in my tinner. I always just use JB weld.
  12. I use double uni to for my fluro leaders. Same set up too, 10 lb test w/6 lb leader. It's quick, and stong. Never failed me.
  13. I second that.
  14. Hit the French River for the first time last weekend. Horseshoe Bay area, east of 69. It was cold and wet on Saturday. We had to wait out some thunder and lightning for a few hours in the morning. It still beats sitting at home. I was really hoping to hook into a pickerel or two. No luck though. We managed a dozen small mouths, and a hand full of hammer handles. I tried out those new Mustad Slow Death hooks. I really liked the way they work. That's what I cought all the small mouth on. Unfortunately, I was targeting the eyes, and for that reason, I was letting the fish nibble a bit more before setting the hook. A couple of the bass took the hook way to deep. Shore lunch…. We were only able to fish for about 6 hours in total because of bad weather and excessive drinkin. I’m not done up there yet. I know the pickerel are there somewhere. Next time I think I’ll go for a week, instead of two days! I’ve only started to target pickerel this year, and have still yet to catch one No pictures, cuz none of the fish where worthy. Sorry for the poor report. Next time there will be lots of pictures of eyes, and massive muskies
  15. Well I'm excited now. Thanks for getting me all pumped up with the pic Raf!!! The boat's packed, and ready to go. Can't wait till tomorrow morning.
  16. I just spent my lunch break at Simcoe Bait and Tackle. Picked up a worm blower, 3 dozen worms, and 2 packs of Mustad Slow Death hooks. Not sure if I should blow up the worms when using the slow death hooks. May screw up the cork screw effect of the slow death presentation. I have all weekend to figure it out!
  17. Thanks for the tips gents. I have a question about the Lindy Rig. I have seen a few people that use "worm blowers" to make the worm float when using the lindy rig. Any one use the "worm blowers" with good results?? If so, are they easy to use?? Just curious..
  18. I hope someone has trained the kids your taking out on Canoe/Boater safety
  19. Headin to the French this weekend. I was planning on getting a few dozen worms. Was also thinkin about grabbing a bag of Minnows, and maybe some leaches. I plan on targeting the eyes mostly. For those with some experiance on the French, what live bait would you use this time of year???? I was going to use jigs, drop shot rigs, pickrel rigs, worm harness, and walleye killers. Just not sure what to tip them with. Any tips to help me land my first eye would be great!! Thanks, F-is-H
  20. That's what I was thinkin! But what do I know?? I've only cought one Ski before..
  21. I would move on IMO. You may be a little attched to this pup, but it's a big gamble to buy a sick dog. Being a previous dog owner yourself, I'm sure you know how expensive the vet bills can get
  22. Set the hook at 9:20, and didn't land it untill 10:00. That's a long fight!
  23. I just got back from a vacation out east. I didn't do any fishing in Fundy though. One thing to keep in mind when selecting lures is the further into the bay you get, the dirtier the water gets. Up near Hopewell Rocks, the water is very very muddy.
  24. I'd buy tickets to that show. As long as GCD is on the roster
  25. That is one Ugly bass. A lunker though. Nice day out on Simcoe.
