  1. I gotta say I've seen some pretty ugly steel roofs. I'm sure steel will last longer but I like the look of asphalt shingles. Should last 20+ yrs.
  2. Leisure or serious trail riding? More $ equals less weight. Decent Trek for $450 - to well over $2-3K

  14. Ottawa should have it's municipal water intake downstream from the sewage plant effluent site, like in a lot of cities in Europe and Alberta, I believe. That would change things I would think
  15. I agree. Something has to be done before they collapse totally. It's the only winter walleye fishery around and is so close to the GTA It can't take the pounding

  18. Got back from the cottage tonight. Water levels 2 ft higher than 10 days ago. Levels rose 4 inches last 2 days- without the rain. Still slushy ice everywhere Ice pulling back from the shore by 2-6 ft. Stopped by the dam in Buckhorn. All 4 gates open and a torrent of water coming thru. Might actually be thawed by month end.
  19. Consumer Reports consistently rates them near the bottom overall and below average for reliability. For that reason I went with a 4Runner. Less cash to boot.

  21. haven't ever seen anyone use an in-line planer on the surface for salmon or bows. maybe early in the spring for browns unless, of coarse, you mean a dypsie
