  1. Yeah, certainly not the best place to get a bow but hey, anything's possible.
  2. The pipeline would only streamline things for efficiency. Right now trucks, boats and trains carry the oil. Roads, navigable waterways, and railroads have already ruined and defaced enough of our environment. We don't need pipelines all over the place too. By the way, one the first one is in and works, how long before we have pipelines criss crossing all over the country? Screw the gov't doing whatever the heck they want completely at OUR cost.
  3. If you order the 3 year online you just get a card, no annoying extra slip to carry with it. At least I did. Boy are they ever plain looking cards lol
  4. I work in retail, so really may 24 just means increased consumerism and stupidity.
  5. No kidding. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. That's just as sick as the original crime.
  6. Ah, because only white men take advantage of the resources for capital gain, right.
  7. You'd have to eat it while the water's still pretty cold, i'd imagine. Anything that lives in shallow/warm water usually has mushy meat. Largemouth from deep water in the fall are wonderfully delicious.
  8. Why would you pay anything on delivery? I've ordered a LOT online, fishing wise, and have never had to pay anything at the door?
  9. I fish a sewage treatment outflow here in simcoe all the time lol. Some days it smells like sewage, still comes out clear. Other days it smells heavily of chlorine. The water's warm coming out so the fishin's good. Lol
  10. I have always wanted to catch one too. I've been bit off by them a few times tossing senkos on Long Point Bay, or broke off, not sure. But never have seen a real big one there. The grand sounds interesting, i wish I knew the specifics of that cuz I fish the grand all year and have only ever seen one, and it was through the ice in dunnville. Any more info on the grand?
  11. Two words: Algae bloom It may not directly affect the fish. Just the waterbody's ability to provide oxygen.
  12. Maybe the counter is a 26 yr old female, she hoists the fish and the men count, everytime she bends down to net some more, problems arise with the counts.
  13. Yuck. Unfortunately it happens all over the great lakes.
  14. I cant wait to dig out another lure I don't know the name of! Lol, awesome thread, just gets better and more informative!
  15. You just cant be tied to the dock.
  16. Water gremlin here too.. for the price and for how many you lose in a day I just cant justify anything else. Lol
  17. Yep as long as you're in a boat, you can be sitting right next to the dock and run two lines. Sure comes in handy for perch fishing having that extra rod sometimes! I was thinking this year in dover i will bring my inflatable for the perch derby, that way I can run a catfish line off one side of the boat all day while I'm slamming perch on the other one! Just pay attention to exceptions because the inner bay of long point bay and other great lakes bays are excepted from the rule.
  18. Indeed! Insanely impressed with the responses. Far more than I asked for or expected. And Christopher K , I most certainly may take you up on that offer real soon!
  19. Thanks for the vast amount of info ! I googled stonefly, and that is sure the same imitation he gave me, though I couldn't find any quite the same as the ones that fellow gave me. Guess I better cherish these 'speys' forever!
  20. For BillM: I can't wait to pitch my spey flies, I figure I'll use the firetiger cast method and use a slow buoy for the retrieve.
  21. So, lol, after hijacking another thread for far too long, my miseducation from a local river rat got me in a pickle. I learned that a spey is a type of cast, not a type of fly. But see, all this time I been swinging these flies I thought were called speys? The dilemma now ... When it comes time to buy more flies, what shall I call these? Lol they are a sort of rubbery hellgrammite looking body with two small black strands of hair coming out the back. Any ideas what the heck I'm using? Bows sure like em, whatever they are.
  22. Haha, right on. Thanks for the education on spey casting, really. i actually thought it was a type of fly. Lol
  23. Lol np man same to you.. for real. We are on the same page here right? This was worthless except for entertainment value? Lol
  24. Boy am I ever glad you are a worthless human being, otherwise something you post might bother me. For now it's hilarious. Whats next, physical threats?
  25. Glad I could make your day, troll.
