  1. It's only CPP you can take early, gotta wait to 65 for the OAS. I got lucky they changed the formula for early withdrawal after I took it , you'll get less now.
  2. Retired at 57, I took CPP at 60 , my OAS just started at 65 with any further input on my part. You should get free ( not really with all the taxes we paid ) drugs now after a $100 deductible , got my eyes checked last week, OHIP does that yearly for us old folks, some other stuff too , like tax breaks.
  3. Remember those kids at the grocery store, sitting in the basket, screaming and yelling, grabbing stuff in an apparent total meltdown, while their parents did absolutely nothing. We said " God help us when they grow up " Guess what.
  4. Size was very good out of Port Colborne/Maitland earlier this summer but now all smaller fish so it seems
  5. April Vokey is better but them I'm more of a trout /steelheader. ?
  6. At one time I'd take a light weight fly outfit to the Grand and catch Mooneyes, June was the month I recall. It was actually a popular event with local fly guys and I recall a few of them got smoked, very similar fish.
  7. maybe a enforced speed limit like 70 KPH would make sense on public waterways ? boater's card level of training is obviously deficient with the speeds a lot of craft run today.
  8. Denis from Fish'n Niagara with a real nice unicorn
  9. underwater video , upper Niagara 2019, lots of fishes ? looks like a sturgeon around 1:45
  10. There was this one in Port Colborne too. https://www.stcatharinesstandard.ca/news-story/9565750-boaters-abandon-burning-vessel-in-port-colborne-marina/ edit : looking at it again the hull design and paint looks like an old Wilker
  11. As I understand it, you can still use them but they must be from the same body of water that you are using them in.
  12. Fishing smallmouth with dad back in the 60's out of Port Colborne, we would always go to one of the local clay bottomed ponds with a triangular framed , fine meshed net and pick up several dozen crawfish apiece. Don't think we ever fished them any other way, number 4 or 6 baitholder beak hook and a few splitshot ?. Now you can't do that, illegal to transport crawfish due an invasive species.
  13. Man am I ever out of the loop, just looked at the Angling Specialties facebook page, $1450 for one of there reels, new ?. I've bought new vehicles for less than a Clough
  14. What are they fishing for, looking at the graph in the lower left, there are fish stacked from top to bottom..... Silver Bass ????????????????
  15. Rivers this side also get a good run in early spring but the bulk of the fish return to the lake, the spot mentioned is the only spot I've encountered that would consistently produced big cats all summer long in the open water of Lake Erie.
  16. Back in the seventies I often fished channels at Long Point, shore casting in the evening, on the lake side down off Hasting's Ave. There was 4 or 5 of us fishing most evenings and a few fish in the high teens would be caught along with the more usual 8- 10 pounders. We would get them all summer there right up to the opening of duck season.
  17. Pushing 60 here and still incredible vocals, Glen Hughes , the voice of rock, soul , jazz or whatever he is singing at the time
  18. 50 plus years of listening to rock and this Woodstock performance to still the best single performance in history,
  19. Any of the inlaws and outlaws places I recall in Port Charlotte had those crank open jalousie windows. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jalousie_window
  20. Got to see Hendrix once at a hockey rink on Carlton in TO, it was the tour promoting the Axis Bold as Love album, so this was still a year or so away, but this cover is absolutely spot on. Gary was /is on my top ten favourite guitarists of all time till I die.
  21. The three S's method of pest control.
  22. Yes , you can see all the past flights on the link in my second post, looks like they started at the Niagara River and headed west , doing like sized segments probably because of fuel supply or run out of baits.
  23. The deeper water adjacent to the actually reef
  24. It's Sept. deeper would be better so I would lean Tecumseh if it is doable.
