  1. It just becomes habit to monitor oil consume. With these motors you can add oil to the gas for a little exacter safety margin. Makes them smoke like crazy. I always have a quart of oil in the boat just in case.
  2. You will not likely get water front to start. The park regular scoop them.
  3. Lets see I have hill, Gay Bay, and Ken's Is. Yes they all have stories.
  4. The 1 thing about BPS brands if you do have a problem they replace on the spot and usually have stock.
  5. At this point you are a winner. Congrats. Retire Now.
  6. The good thing about Port Hope you just get out of your vehicle walk across the park look strait out. If you lot's of white spots GO HOME.
  7. Spray your mold with your chosen scent Oil base (not water). Gets the scent process going. Water and plastisol gets ugly quick.
  8. I fished against Denny and Bruce tough tough competitors and I still miss the newspaper.
  9. Gravity molds just don't work that well. A friend made injector from air cylinder (princes auto). After we got heat resistant seals it worked great for more complex baits.
  10. I was at work in a battery factory. You couldn't see to the end of your nose. We had safety lights but we couldn't get to them until somebody got a flashlight to lead us out. Sat around for a bit outside then went home.
  11. I bought mine from Bass Magnet before they move to injection so it's no longer available. I tried re melting old baits you just don't get the consistency.
  12. I stop the line with my finger just before the bait lands. That little tug takes the loop out then I manually close bail.
  13. I got my micro wave from yard sale $5 and a range fan for $7. I to have no interest in producing baits that are readily available. My goal is a bait that catches large and smallies equally and can be rigged many ways. So far I'm still semi retired tournament guy.
  14. Snap casters usually have the most trouble with birds nest. And you never can spool braid to tight.
  15. Rio Can own most of the plazas that Wal Marts are in. A Canadian REIT that I bought hard in the financial crash for $10-12. Just look at the bottom of the plaza sign it will say Rio Can. I own 1" square in each plaza.
  16. Take a look at your prop. You might see little rubber twisty on the front or back near the nut. These indict spun hub. Don't really think this is your issue.
  17. I never fish for little fish or smart fish. Most of my dropshoting is on bigger water with wind and waves and bigger fish. You definitely can use to large of dropshot weight for your rod. And also get into problems with big fish shaking there head and the dropshot weight pulling the hook out. Keep everything in balance.
  18. !/8 oz in 30 ft of water. Make your cast wasting time down 10ft wasting time down 20ft and wasting time down 25 ft start fishing. Dropshot isn't finesse for me. I never use less than 10lb and never fish for smart fish.
  19. I like the tear drop with flat bottom tungsten. Doesn't move unless I want it to.
  20. As a certified expert in poutine . The fry truck south of price choppers in Trenton is one of best. Good Gravy and real cheese curds that squeak. (Cheese curds that squeak are fresh). Also heard good reports about truck at Beer store in Trenton. South of Lindsay on Hwy 35 (Old Stripe joint) great home made gravy with interesting spice. The Chip truck behind Foodland in Little Britain is rated right between the first 2.
  21. And there wasn't 4 tournaments out of 4 locations. You fish 1 tournament sat. and your points apply to 2 different divisions, and on Sunday you fish 1 tournament and your pts apply to 2 different divisions. So there was really 1 tournament sat. 60 boats 1 tournament Sunday 40 boats. The cottagers running around on a nice weekend would double and triple the gas/oil consuming of this tournament. For me tubing is a mindless pursuit, doesn't even look fun, cause all kinds of crazy waves bouncing boats around docks and just generally a waste of gas. PUT IT'S THEIR MONEY And theirs likely to be 2-3 times as many rec fishermen on the Tri Lakes on any week end. Tournaments are visible and these guys/girls can catch fish.
  22. You just put 50 marinas out of business.
  23. My 1999 merc 225 fuel lines also say good for 10% ethanol. What needed to be replaced was fuel line from tank to bulb and bulb to motor. All these lines had red/orange stripe and aren't ethanol proof. Cost about $75.
  24. They de grade from the inside. Go on the BBC you will find pages about fuel lines.
  25. Pre 2006 fuel lines are not ethanol resistance. They deteriorate from the inside. One of the signs is smelling gas fumes.
