  1. Boat Tech is Grant Mills has parts and good guy. Rocky's same thing has the parts.
  2. My buddy James Boca comes from Grenada. We retired same day from General Motors. Just joking, people always ask if you know James Boca he wears glasses. We all wore glasses.
  3. The 4 bank charger wasn't available when I bought my 3 bank Min Kota. The high end electronics have a small constant draw but I don't think that's the problem. Fishing longer in one spot and short runs seems to accumulate after a couple days and your electronics start shutting down. It's not long after that your cranking battery won't start your main. Most guys with big motors and high end electronics charge their cranking battery.
  4. All good advice. You don't want sharp. That just sticks in the block. Dull will pop in open.
  5. You are truly unlucky. Trash it. My Min kota 3 bank is 12 years old and still kicking.
  6. I would inspect the cord. I've never had all 3 crap at once.
  7. All 3 banks are dead?
  8. Go to TSC and get mouse seed. I leave a box in my boat every year, one quick look let's me know if I might have a problem.
  9. I wouldn't call that man smart. There are things you should be aware of. Most in his category make cases for never paying off your mortgage. "Life Starts When the Mortgage Ends"
  10. You sign a document when you see a FA. They will have a very fancy name to qualify you for risk. This is a legal document and they can't put you in anything above the stated risk tolerances. You likely signed for very low risk. If this is the case 5% is doing very well.
  11. As the saying goes "You should have been there yesterday" That float is adjustable for a good reason. And if you fish the frog water minimize the junk down your line. Water will likely be clear.
  12. Some people can waste all boating season answering questions about oil brand. You may get the warranty you will never get the time back.
  13. I had electronic issue with OMC that started before the warranty ran out and continue into the next season. After lot's of try's the solution was to change all 7 sensors for new. I was there when the call was made to OMC and the 1st ? was what kind of oil was used in this motor. So I use factory oil for the whole warranty period and for a year after.
  14. Light grease will be a little quieter and also cut down on spin time. Light oil little bit louder bearing noise and longer spin time. Correct pre Load on your bearings is most important. You can google pre load for small bearings for explanation.
  15. Trollers wouldn't need to charge there starting battery's. High end electronics a very sensitive to low batterys.
  16. Go to your local auto parts store to buy your plugs. Much cheaper than a marina.
  17. Buy the 4 bank and charge your starting battery to.
  18. Theirs a lot of confused thinking about pattern fishing. A pattern is something you can pick up your map and repeat on different parts of the lake. So let's say your pattern is eastside of long under water pts with mostly sand and clumps of very thick coontail scattered. Now you get your map out pick out other areas that look the same and you try to prove you have found a pattern. At the same time you are working lure style and color. But that's not the pattern.
  19. Financial Advisers are mostly salesman with there welling being #1. Bank Financial Advisers again are trying to make banks money but are ok if you know the right ? to ask. Fee for advise are probably best but they are getting there income for advise and are expensive. DYI "DO Yourself Investor" takes a lot of study and time.
  20. I say you did good and your wild assumption like always are wrong. I also know if you are just launching boats around the kawarthas, Lake Simcoe 4wd is a waste of money. I also know if you really have a reason for 4wd they are great. But they cost more to maintain out to 400k when I normally get a new truck. If you learn to follow the thread you will not make such wild assumption.
  21. You should read before you post. A previous post went 50k on a brake job for his 4wd. As is your norm you jump in with st;'6d.
  22. And if you guys think a 4wd drive will ever have less maintenance cost than a 2wd you in DREAMLAND.
  23. I blame Kerr..........he wrote article in the Sun to watch guys with roe goob all over their vest. He instructed rookies to follow these guys around. I went home empty my vest and took it to the laundry mat (wife Threat). Never did I have a dirty vest after that.
  24. Just had my 2wd sierra tires rotated at 70k. The brake pads are not half way yet. So you will be on your 2nd set of brakes when I get my 1st set. And 4wd just get worst with age. It is true you need to drive a little better with 2wd and you get little better mileage and a little maintenance. I just don't go down the roads that need 4wd.
  25. You have fun with your worms. They work but no thanks I will keep my hands clean and warm.
