  5. Sounds cool, but more than I need at more than I can afford. I'll be looking at the Lowrance H20 at the sportsman or fishing show. Steve got his there 2 yrs ago for 150.00. I'm hoping 300 will be enough for one of those and some maps. Maureen
  6. Great stuff Cliff, nice to see you getting out there again. Maureen
  7. I used to but I had to give it up, my ankels couldn't tak ebeing bent like that anymore Maureen

  9. Mine can go at anytime, all that's in it is fuel stabilizer, not a big deal. I tried to change the oil in the lower end but can't get the screws out, anyone have any ideas of how to loosen them and not strip them? Maureen
  10. Porta pottie will be provided by the township like last year...as far as i know....kalvin, I don't think I have the contact for Weston, I sent them the thank you card and that was it, the rest was your doing my friend sorry but I lost a lot of stuff from last year with a couple of computer hiccups...I know i should back up everything, last time I did that the disc failed Have gotten confirmation for a few prizes and a new company sent me a message so that's cool, I couldn't talk to them today but hope to soon....things are coming together very nicely thanks to all of you Maureen
  11. Hey Cliff, I don't seem to have the list, or at least I can't find it. I do remember we had lots left over. Hot dogs and Hamburgers along with the buns and condiments I can likely get from Sobey's again, but I will confirm that next week. Coffee and hot Chocolate will be provided again from Starbucks. Did many people request chicken? I was thinking 50 Hot Dogs and 50 Hamburgers, that should be more than enough I imagine, added to the sausages and chicken if we get it, but I'll leave that up the cooks to decide as you would all have a better idea I imagine. Maybe get fewer hot dogs? I think the sausages were popular.... Maureen
  12. I thought the boat show was this weekend Wayne, either way I won't be going, too much money for parking and entrance. I'll wait for the sportsman show and will likely head to that. Maureen
  13. Not to worry Glen,I got ya covered, I'll take care of it at Lakair Maureen
  14. Back in the fall when I got my boat Phil and Brian offered me a couple of items for it, all I had to do was arrange to get them. The BOQ weekend was not to far away so I arranged with Brian to give his item to Wayne and if I'm not mistaken GCD picked up the item from Phil. I finally managed to get myself in gear and drive over to Wayne's today to pick them up...a whole 10 minute drive . Phil was good enough to give me a compass to mount in the boat so I don't get lost....this is a good thing as it's not hard for me to do Brian gave me an Eagle Z7500 Sonar System. I'm hoping a friend of Steve's will help me hook it up and all I'll have to do is fiugre out how to use it Thanks again to everyone, Brian and Phil for your generosity and Wayne and GCD for helping me get them Now all I need is for spring to arrive so I can play with my new toys Maureen
  15. Thanks Shelly, I'm hoping the brace does the job and he'll be up and about again in no time. Glad to hear that Dustin and Chandelle are slowly on the mend as well. Maureen
  16. Well it's that time of year again I'm a little later getting things together this year, but I have no doubt that it will be another great event I will put up the official post with all the details in a couple of weeks as I know the Mods prefer not to pin items or events until a month ahead of time. This post is to ask for and confirm help and prize donations. I don't like to make assumptions but I'm guessing/hoping I'll have the usual suspects helping out in the cooking dept as they all do such a great job For those of you who have expressed an interest in helping/donating prizes I have a letter that I send out to companies so if you need one please PM me your e-mail address and I will forward it to you. If things work out I hope to be able to tell you about a couple of incredible prizes, just waiting for confimation For those of you who are unable to attend but wish to donate a prize you can send it to me at 167 Timcourt Dr. Penetang Ont, L9M 1R2 , or PM me and I'm sure we can find a way to get it to the event. Thanks in advance, Maureen
  17. Yup, saw the same thing on Penetang Bay yesterday morning...one might have gone in the water, not sure though. Maureen
  18. Hoping to have a cabin from Sunday to Sunday....not sure if any are still available as I haven't been able to reach them....will have to call today I think....not sure what days I'll be there as I couldn't get the weeks vacation for it...still working on that though, but Beans will be there and quite possibly my mom as well...at least on the days I'm not someone needs to look after the zoo Maureen

    wind

On my way into town this morning I watched a few ice huts in a race down the bay. It' looks like some removed their huts for a while, those that didn't will have to go for a hike to find them, provided the wind doesn't shift and send them to the south side of the bay where there is open water. Maureen
  20. Glad to hear two out of three are home and going to be OK, Justin will be well looked after in Toronto...I'll be keeping the good thoughts rollin Maureen
  21. Welcome to the board Mt N' Dew, as for coming up here, I'd make it near the end of june, that way you can partake in Bass fishing. if that's not your cup of tea, then early/mid June should be nice. The Kawartha lakes would make a great place to visit, but I can't give you specific park locations, but there is good fishing there for several species. Look forward to hearing more from you, Maureen
  22. This comes as no surprise to me at all, we've got a great bunch of folks here...might even have to give HH a call myself and work on my interview skills Good luck today HHH Maureen
  23. That's ok I'm a tea tottler (sp?) in the morning anyway, but hey, thanks for the thought Maureen
  24. Morning gents, it's a great time of the day, Pikehunter, stay up and enjoy it Maureen
