I'd like to know who the two guys are that voted for koscheck?...lol Maybe his mom and dad!
-
I personally don't like koscheck. But that's me. This fight will be like feeding chum to lure in sharks. This will be another notch in GSP belt.
-
When you buy your property there, put out an invitation for us all to come up and have a bass tourny. We would need to stay at your place of course...lol
-
good idea but it's already been done! http://www.thundermistlures.com/t-turn.php

I keep and eat perch, crappie and walleye. Enough for a few feeds throughout the year.

I've used the surgeons knot and uni to uni and have never had it slip or break. But I can't see any harm in using a super glue on the knot. Test it out and let us know.

I used to use fluoro as a main line a few years ago and I didn't like it. It was not as limp as mono and would bird up to often. So I dumped it. I now just run a fluoro leader and it's done me fine. Plus it saves a lot of money. One thing I want to point out is that fluoro sinks so dragging tubes would be fine but if you want to fish top water or crank baits you should factor this in. Now some of the newer fluoros might be better and limper but I have not used any so I can't comment. Good luck which ever way you go.

if the battery is sealed you will have no problem leaving it open. If not I would get a box.

Anyone know? I'm still waiting for the call saying I won...lol

A question for people who fish with trolling motor.

I agree that they should be courteous and not cut right past where someone is fishing, but where is it written what proper protocol is. And if it's not law anywhere why would we expect anyone to follow what someones idea of proper boat passing etiquette is. Just a thought. Oh and if you see me fishing please pass on the outside of me a good 50 yards. Thank you. -
you will be able to launch with your outboard no problem. You can bag it if you want but you don't have to. I was there last week and the place is very choked with weeds. The bass bite is dead almost. The crappie bite was very slow. I caught lots of bluegills though. Bring a push pole if you have one to get right in the thick weeds and try flipping for the bass. Good luck there. If you need any more info just give me a shout.

I have the hot maps chip and it covers pretty much all the lakes you'd want to fish. More and more lakes are going HD with one foot contours.
-
JP I hope your friend and you are ok. We love what you do. We all need to be careful out there.
-
what you can do is look along the shore line and see what's there. Often you can find rubble or boulders that start on the shore line and move into that water. GPS with a chip is another good way. Search the net on the lake your going to fish. There might be some history on the lake that can give you a clue as to the structure on the bottom. Good luck

If the fight stays standing carwin may have a chance. Brock is to good to let that happen. Look for the takedown and ground and pound. Again lesnar first round. Don't blink you may miss this one.

thanks fishfarmer

lesnar first round TKO. You heard it hear first!

If what you say is true would really suck. I've had success out at the mouth of the warm flow. Maybe you can fish on either side of the outflow. I'll have to give it a try. But if you were the only boat there something must be up?
-
was anyone slamming bass? Was thinking of heading there one of these days for bass. Thanks
-
What cranks should I go for? I've had great success with bomber and storm crank baits. You can get storm bait at a really good price. Nice quality without the high price. Bomber is good. Usually they go on sale and I buy a few.

my engine says use regular octane 86 or 87 I believe. Is it safe to go to 91? The guys that are putting in high octane does your engine say it's ok? Just wondering
-
Smart thinking Rob. I forgot that you were in front of the motor. I'll have to try and adopt the same system.
-
that's nice to hear you got to do a show with mike. I like the show. What lake were you on? Thanks
-
I like your pics thanks for the post. Great idea for the camera mount. How do you get your camera to focus before you shoot. Do you aim at a part of your boat and then reaim the camera for the shot. Thanks

I've read all the posts and what you guys need to do is develop a good relationship with a tackle store. I buy and send lots of customers to the store. Then my friend gives me a rod and reel that he doesn't want. In the process of giving me the rod he breaks the tip bringing it into my house. So I go to my local shop and say can you fix my rod with the broken tip, they say sure bring it in. So I do and then they say why don't we send it in under warranty claim and I'll just give you a new one. I'm like you can do that. Yes they say and I get a new rod that's in stock at the store. No problems no worries. Now all that to get my point out. If you take care of your local shop they will take care of you. I didn't even buy the rod there and who knows how old it was but they took care of me. That what you should be doing and you never have to worry about a warranty.
