  1. Commercial fishing has been a fixture on Lake Erie for over 150 years. It is the largest inland freshwater fishery in the world, fyi. What is there to debate? Sport fisherman can't have the fisheries all to themselves. Those fish end up in grocery stores across Ontario and provide economic benefits to those communities. I think it''s a great video! Thanks for posting.
  2. That park is full of grizzlies and cougars... i think there are rabid wolves running amok. Don't worry about the bears.
  3. someone is getting "techincl" on us .. . yes they are al salmonids but everyone and their daughter, excpect whoever started this, recongnizes a distinction b/w the two!
  4. 1 second. Answer is yes. All PAcific Salmon do.
  5. riff raff! I wouldn't describe the money up there as riff raff! isn't that a term we use to describe plebeians? LOL
  6. Kind of late, no? It's $100! I registered when it started, Not sure i will do it again, Just didn't get out much.

  8. I am not sure why people are considering him one of the "top D's" - he' a soft defensive liability. He can skate and move the puck, but watch him for long and you'll notice the weakness in his game. That is why they are trying to move him.
  9. "media coverage" should not even be considered in on this . . .who cares about the media. It'll will focus on the leafs whether they make a good deal, bad deal, any deal... they are mostly stupid anyway. He should have tried to extract at least some picks. IMO, Burke and co have fallen into the same pattern as other regimes here; try you best to patch together enough talent to squeak into the playoffs.. just to appease the board and some fickle fans. The Kessel deal was a disaster and set them back about 5 years. They lost two 1st rounders plus a 2nd for an enigmatic player who will surely frustrate leaf fans with long spells of goalless games.. he's a very inconsistent player and is far from a complete player. If you're given up that much, the player should be well-rounded. I am a HUGE loyal Leaf fan, but I will criticize them when necessary. Burke's tenure has been mediocre at best so far. I liked the Phaneuf deal, but that's about it. They overpaid for Komiserek, Beauchemen, etc...
  10. Some of you have a streak of socialism in you... so what if some guy promotes something.. don't read it. I have nothing to gain from this, but if someone makes an extra few sales cause of these post, God bless him.

  12. The toronto pike fishery is probably better than most of the rest of the accessible places to fish in Ontario When I used to fish it, I would have days of 12-15 fish over 12 lb in the spring. 5-10 lb would be avg fish - again, that would be a good day... but a few over 10 was fairly common
  13. To be honest, I am a bit surprised you caught pike that big at this time of year in that area. Interesting. . . It's usually a producer in the spring and fall for that class of fish. Good work!
  14. Great trip, loads of fun and beauty park.... but the fishing is tough there. Mind you, we did not fish a whole lot but a few hours and pretty much nothing. That was the 3rd time at that park and I never seem to catch much on Mazinaw. Good times overall - wasn't really a fishing trip as much as male bonding trip!
  15. Can you give us the GPS coordinates for that big boy!? JK!
  16. Wow, with all due respect, is it worth getting that angry? Life is short, my friend
  17. The fihing is very marginal in there at the best if times... it's only a few feet deep

    Tough Day

That kind of threw me off too... Gibson in Muskoka should not have sheep head unless someone dumped them in there
  19. I hope to get up there in August at some point to give myself a break from the salmon fishing Is the fishing decent in there? Is it worth the extra trek and dodging shoal? I do have excellent official nautical maps of the area I bought a few years ago.
  20. Spider is a beauty lake.. 2 years ago i saw two guys ina 12' putting around with a 5 hp motor. I am pretty certain it is a motor-free lake lots of pike... and smallies spring is good there (for pike and some lakers)
  21. Thanks... the spot is fairly "remote" for a southern ontario fishing destination... I am will to bet that this makes the Musquash Basin a potentially good spot for multiple species. . .
  22. I have always wanted to fish that area of the Bay (Musquash River Delta) but it seems like a long trek. Is Pennetange the closest launch or are there other areas that are closer? thanks
  23. Without bats, we would probably have to permanently douse ourselves in DEET!!
