  1. Wow, that looks amazing... but how far is that? We only have 4 days - maybe need closer to week for that place. Im saving that in my favs. Thanks
  2. Hi folks, Been ages since I post last.. A group of 6 to 8 friends and family are planning a trip in Sept (20-23) and we're looking for a great fishing camp with decent cottages and boat rentals. A few of us are grouse hunters and since the season will have started by then, we'd like to do some hunting too... We'd prefer to keep the drive to within 5 hours +/-.. 6 is possible if it's a really good spot. So far we are considering Herridge Lake, GoBushKon (Gowanda?) Outpost Lodge, and Maiden Bay Camp and maybe Lake Air (seems a bit pricier) Thoughts on these places? Any other places? I'd really like to get on some trails/logging roads for some partridge!! As for fish, walleye, pike and bass would be great and trout a bonus.. Thanks.. I'd very much appreciate the input!
  3. Unfortunate, but people have been going broke since the free market was invented... running a business is cutthroat and extremely challenging. I know first hand
  4. Leafs did well... Rick Dudley was a superb move, btw... he assembled the black hawks cup winning team... The picks are always a crapshoot.. cannot judge for another 2 to 4 years.
  5. I just looked at a map.. I think you are referring to the creek on the south end of the lake.. We want to launch up in the north end and get right on top of those good fishing grounds at the mouthes of the two creeks, Burnt and Rosedale If weather doesn't get too asty we will be leaving in about an hour.. hope to post an interesting report! Thanks
  6. Hey folks, if weather holds up, my buddy and I are going to take the canoe out for a paddle with our rods.. I've heard the north end of Cameron Lake (Boyds Island, the Five Fingers and Burnt River) are key spots to target. Is there a decent spot to put in around there? I know Fenlon has a launch but we were hoping to put in closer to the north end.. Thanks!
  7. Team Sweden (Vancouver) v Team Canada (Boston) Go Bruins..
  8. Hmm, Atlantics, smallies, browns and skies?? that's quite a diverse an interesting fishery...
  9. An overrated park.. used to go as a kid and finally returned as an adult two summers ago.. I/we were disappointed. Sandbanks is better if yo want a beach experience.. and you can fish the Quinte region if you camp there, too
  10. it wouldnt stop me.. i would get my name legally changed...
  11. Was there yesterday.. Fished onlky 2 hours as I was testing out equipment. No fish.. my buddy thinks he had one on.. but i am not so sure since he doesn't fish much!!
  12. There too much to do!! great city.. lived there 2 years... Just walk the streets... and take it in! Old Mtl, The Plateau and St Laurent are but a few spots to walk like corn beef? Fo to Swhartze's
  13. Yes, parking on the ice gets around all of this!!!!! Ice is firm enough now.. I wnet to Inissfil beach today.. was not charged as it was after 12!!!!! No fish but had a good time.. nice day out there. tested my new hut/heater cheers
  14. Find a used X-Trail I own one.. a very underrated vehicle.. tows 2000lb and is a little snow machine.. plenty if utility. LOVE IT
  15. We didn't have a dry summer here.. actually, we got a fair amount of rain, especially June and August. It's a put n take fishery so I doubt that would factor in anyway..
  16. Thanks! 12" are good for the pan!!!
  17. So I am assuming ice is safe at Innisfil Park?
  18. Innisfil Beach PArk????
  19. Sorry, but I am not familiar with 'IBP' - is that the west or east side of the lake? thanks
  20. Very kind of you to narrow it down for us. I don't have a sled and I think that would be a VERY long walk!! I am hoping to find accessible areas to walk out to but it seems like lots of parking issues..
  21. Hahahaha!! Thanks bud! Please don't kill me! Well, I might stick to Simcoe then.. even if it's mostly inaccessible these days, according to the latest rant on Inisfil bylaws! Guess I'll just drive around until I find a legal spot to park... thanks
  22. So, here is a question for you all: where can we access the deep water fishery of Simcoe? I was hoping to head up soon and hit it for lakers/whitefish
  23. Oops, missed that! Where can Rosseau be accessed? Thanks!
