  1. Ya, nothing beats a palomar for ease and strength. I was curious if there were other good ones out there that might be even stronger...
  2. Hey folks, I am tinkering with knots this morning and I am wondering what your favourite knot is for tying floro leader line to terminal tackle (swivels, etc) or when tying directly to a lure like a spoon or crankbait? I have used polamar knots and even uni knots.. Thoughts?
  3. Hmm, interesting.. The specific one I buy (black container) says it's made for snowmobiles and PWC. Not specifically for outboards.
  4. Is that a synthetic oil? where can u get it?
  5. Do you really think there's tht much difference? I wonder what makes it so good?
  6. You're a disgusting pig!
  7. I use AMS OIL for my 2 stroke outboards, but it's expensive! What do you folks use?
  8. I don't want to move them b/c I wen through the trouble of cutting hard plastic plates(underneath and on top) and bolting them into a gunwale that is littered with enough holes as it is! I will move the new rodholders up about a foot or more, or I might even try one at the transom and use it as a "down the shoot" set up with either lead or copper! Thanks
  9. That is what I figured. Actually, I think I will move them up even further in the direction of the bow. Thoughts?
  10. Great series, great team... Congrats Hawks!!
  11. Thanks, man.. problem is, the riggers are already mounted! The other holder have not been mounted yet. Given that I don't intend to change the riggers' position, where should I mount them? Thanks!
  12. I am planning to mount two rod holders adjacent to my manual cannon riggers. I plan on using them for different applications such as second rods off the riggers attached with stacker release or copper or lead rods for trolling without riggers. How close should I get to the rigger and would I be better off placing it closer to the transom on the other side of what you see in my picture (it's not yet actually mounted)? Any other suggestions would be most appreciated!
  13. Went camping at Bon Echo - love that park! Fish did not cooperate however we only fished a few hours late Sat afternoon. I'm not familiar with the lake but heard the narrows are good. We tried for Pike and Walleye then switched to a lake trout troll. Nadda bite! I wonder if the front that came through has something to do with it. Oh well! I will be camping there 2 more times this summer.
  14. Where can you buy them? I suppose any marine dealer?
  15. You mean the cavator should be positioned at or below the bottom of the transom ?
  16. Is 2 or 3" ok? more, less? Thanks..
  17. Forgot the plug... realized it when I was in 100' of water in good ol lake Ontario! Boat was filling with water and a scary rate!! LMAO
  18. Hey gang, So I am about to install a kicker bracket I just bought. As I understand it, the water line should be just above the cavator (sp). Is this correct? Thanks!
  19. 1982 70 hp evinrude 1979 4 hp Johnny
  20. Anyone use these things? Sierra brand.. Are they necessary? I just bought some Stabil ethanol treatment so I am wondering if the water separator is required still. Thanks
  21. There was a lot more heavy industry at the turn of the century in toronto than now... back in the day, they dumped all kinds of crap without any consideration for the env. impact.
  22. Thanks John!
  23. Absolutely! How much do you want for it? Where are you? Doesn't it have to be specific to your exact model? For example, a model with power trim/tilt vs one w/o? Thanks!
