  1. 47 but a 48 or 49 was caught in ny
  2. I'm gonna catch the 50 lb
  3. Biggest fish from that derby in years.. been a great year http://www.greatontariosalmonderby.ca/updates/
  4. Reminds me of the billions of lizards I see when I visit family back in the old country (Italy). They are so common there. Like seeing flies here... people treat them like pest there because they can get into homes.
  5. Lake O - still the best salmon fishery in the world.... BTW, a few in the 34-36 lb range have already been caught... so as nice as your fish is, it wouldn't be close to a derby winner great catch though!
  6. Sorry, but why not? It wasn't in use... just sat for 24 hours in the garage... It's been topped with fresh syththetic.. new seals.. sould be fine.. Like I said, the drain seal was shot... that's probabaly where h2o came in from
  7. Actually they don't.. Toronto is still one of the safest cities in the world... between 50-70 homicides annually.. that is very low for a big city And, as a matter of fact, Toronto is ranked 29th in crime in Canada.. so there are 28 cities with higher crimes rates (based on percentage of crimes per inhabitants).. this includes murder, attempted murder, aggrevated assaults, sexual assaults, break n enter, etc... in fact the crime rate in toronto ha been declining steadily since the late 80's. I have done a lot of research in this area, so I know my crap.. Look it up if you don't believe me It's the media that needs to sell news that hypes this stuff.. plus it's a big city - stuff happens
  8. hopefully the bears didn't get him...
  9. \ Wow.. didn't really state the cause... heart attack? RIP
  10. I just checked the lower unit gear oil after bringing it home. I trusted the seller when he said he checked it and was apparently good. It was not and I noticed one of the seals was shot... the oil was milky - not good! How serious is this? I drained the oil, and I will replace it once I purchase a new seal. The funny thing is the motor ran really well when I tested it. Started without a problem, impellar seemed to be functioning and sounded great. Can I buy seals at any marine dealer or must they be Honda seals? Should I have the engine checked by a Honda mechanic now? I am going to change the oil on it too since I don;t think he really changed anything on it for the entire time he owned it. Motor looks great b/c I don't think it was used much. It was on a sailboat. thanks
  11. oh i forgot to mention this: BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
  12. Holy!! And you guys think a coyote has a chance against a deer??? No way.. I think the coyote predation on fawns is overblown after watching that.
  13. If it came down to that (heavy seas) I would not likely stay out long... My boat isn't that big. If it did get windy and rough I suppose I could use the main motor. Sounds like it should work, then.. The seller is telling me that the 4 stokes have more torque than the 2 cyl. Is this correct? I always thought that 4 strokes were not quite as "punchy" Thanks for the responses, fellas!
  14. Hey guys, I am in the market for a kicker motor for my 16'+ aluminum. I think the boat weighs roughly 1300lb. Is a 5 hp Honda adequate power for trolling on Lake Ontario and other big water? What do you think? Should I go for a 6 or 8 hp instead?
  15. Doesn't Stabil act as a counter agent? That is what I put in my tank on every fill up.
  16. Anyone else feel that??
  17. Why would the OMNR release this statement if it was a complete fabrication?
  18. http://www.thestar.com/news/ontario/article/826635--confirmed-big-cats-prowl-in-ontario?bn=1
  19. As if Toronto hasn't been screwed enough.. one f-ing billion dollars for 12 hours of meetings.. tens of millions lost revenue (restaurants, etc..) We get nothing from the Feds.. one billion could have built 10km of subway lines.. This event should never be held in a big city.. put it on a cruie ship in the middle of the Pacific.. commie protesters can't swim
  20. Not worse than many other lakes in Ontario.. Try fishing Honey Harbour/Port severen... widow-maker waters...
  21. Isn't Cranberry a "private" lake with limited access?
  22. Is it just one colour or are there options? where to buy?
  23. I've fished that lake about 5 times... It was LipDip's descriptions and reports of Head that got me curious. I did catch smallmouth quite easily... no muskie, but didn't target them... no walleye yet.. I like the lake b/c it's small and not too far and has a good, free launch. Good weeds in the southeast "bay" In my humble opinion, one needs to fish a lake a good 5 to 10 times within a year or two to figure it out... at least..
  24. Great info! Thanks for sharing!
