  1. Way to go Nauti. I probably won't catch my first fish of the year until May. Congrats!!
  2. Ha ha... Thanks for the replies guys. I'm not sure if this would have worked out or not anyways, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I haven't been to Sudbury in about 30 years. I'm going for an underground mining training course. I'm actually going under on Tuesday. Should be interesting. And lastly, I'll bet that our American OFC'ers are scratching their collective heads about the title of this thread. But I'll bet that every one of our Canadian members know exactly where it came from. I'll leave it at that for now. Thanks again guys.
  3. Any Sudbury OFC'ers free tomorrow night? I'll be flying into town tomorrow night for a short course on Tuesday and I might have a few hours to kill. I'm supposed to arrive around 7 pm. I can't make any promises because I have to pick up a rental car and find my hotel etc. But with any luck, I'll have a few hours to spare. Anyone???
  4. I see them as well. Nice photos too!!
  5. Nice effort Mike. The photos are fantastic. Thanks for sharing..
  6. Wow. Thanks Burtess. I hadn't checked that link out. That pretty much seals the deal I'd say. The photos are as real as they come. Here's the LINK to the rest of the photos in the series.
  7. While camped in the middle of nowhere last summer with Ron, I heard an odd "beep, beep, beep" sound in the darkness of the night. I was sure that it was a back up alarm on a commercial vehicle of some sort. I thought it was strange that such a vehicle would be working in the middle of nowhere at night. I asked Ron if he heard the sound. He had heard it all right. But he quickly informed me that it was the call of a "Back up alarm Owl??". I think that's what he called it. Ron?? I thought that he was pulling my leg. Anyways, we later heard several more coming from different directions that were apparently calling to each other. The guy knows his Owls. And he knows how to use his camera too. Great job Bud..
  8. It certainly looks real to me. Why would anyone claim that it's not real? Snopes seems to agree with me.
  9. For the record, I didn't buy Wally out either. In case you were wondering.
  10. They are booking tee off times next week, although a few of the greens are a little soggy yet.

    Spell Check?

There's one built in to Firefox. Tools, options, advanced, general... and there it is. Works great on this and all other message boards that I use.
  12. An honest 24 inch Brook Trout. I've probably caught about 10 that were over 23, but haven't hit that magical 24" mark yet. That and to just have good times fishing with friends.
  13. Awesome!! Congrats...
  14. Have a great vacation Cliff. Relax. Enjoy. Have a drink or two. Lay in the sun. You know the drill. We'll see you when you return.
  15. I consider myself lucky if I see a wild Owl every 5 years or so. I'm not sure if you're interested in captive Owls Pam, but if you are, here's one from our local zoo that I took last summer. Complete with a chain link fence frame. There's some nice detail in the shot. Ron will supply you with what you need I'm sure.
  16. Nice unit Lew. Expect nothing less from Cabelas. I've been mail ordering from them since the 70's and haven't had a bad experience yet.
  17. That's just crazy.
  18. Congrats Steve. Happy New year, and enjoy the feast!!
  19. Well that's not only a good policy for 2007, but for the rest of your days Rick. You deserve it. Happy New Year!!

  24. Hey, I'll join the losers club. Sis is in bed, I'm playing poker, and I splurged tonight. Sipping Rickards Red. 19 minutes. Happy new years guys...
  25. There's nothing like flat lining for Lakers early in the season. I've spent my share of May long weekends doing just that as well. And canoe spoons are an excellent choice! Thanks for sharing..
