  1. Ah yes. Montoya. I did know that after all. Yup I've had speed on all morning. And I can tell you that the only runs that Jimmie has is the run to the championship!!!!
  2. Now the opinions are rolling in. I love it!!! Brian, who is the rookie making his first start today? I must have missed that.
  3. Oh man Connie. Only one race in HD and then you'll have to wait 3 months to see another one? LOL Enjoy the race and the TV Bud. You're gonna love it!!
  4. Well this is it today guys. Last race of the year and the day that Jimmie Johnson finally wins his title. Or is it? Barring any kind of disaster he should win handily, but anything can happen. I look for Jimmie to run near the front but not to push for the win. And except for a few guys, most drivers will give him plenty of elbow room. I'd hate to be the guy that screws up and takes him out. Any other predictions?
  5. I'm not sure how long I've been on OFC, but I made the "old members" photo thread, so it's been a while. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, I became obsessed with Steelhead fishing in the 70's. I could hardly sleep when the run was on back then. But the first fish that I ever caught was a Brook Trout, when my father took me out to a few local creeks when I was probably 7 or 8 years old. My passion for Brook Trout fishing took a serious turn about 15 years ago when I started fishing them seriously. I haven't looked back since. I still do some Steelhead fishing and dabble for Walleye, but come late August and early September I'm totally focused on the Brook Trout. I've met some great people from OFC that I wuld have never met otherwise and hope to meet more in the future. OFC really does rock!!!
  6. From the Thunder Bay Source Local News Water shortages loom Tb News Source Web Posted: 11/17/2006 7:54:19 PM The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority is issuing a warning that water shortages could be on the way for some residents of the Thunder Bay area. Low rainfall this summer, along with low precipitation levels over the past few months has led to the city receiving only half the precipitation it normally does. Rural water users dependent on wells are especially at risk, and are asked to begin conservation efforts now. As well, the Water Response team is asking all users to lower their consumption by as much as 20 per cent to head off any further problems this spring. Another indication of just how serious the problem is, Lake Superior is at it's lowest level in over 80 years.
  7. That's strange. It's been bone dry in the Northwest of the province for several months now. I think I heard that Lake Superior is at an 80 year low, and all of its tribs have been reduced to a trickle. And there's concern about lack of well water this winter. Not good...
  8. Congrats Joe.
  9. That is awesome!!!
  10. I have to reply to find out my #. So here goes. 45 it is. Cool. Colt 45. 45 rpm. 45 inch Pike. I was 45 once. I like it. Wouldn't change 45 for the world.
