Well thanks for the permission to post the slide show Al, and welcome aboard. There's a few Thunder Bay guys on here. One more won't hurt. In fact, with you on board now, that's pretty much all, of us. Seriously Al, OFC is a great place to belong to if you're into fishing. You'll like it here. Don't be a stranger. I'll be in touch soon.

A local Brook Trout fishing friend of mine, Al Muir, has put together this slide show featuring our local Brook Trout fishing. The photography is incredible, as is the entire show. So, if you like Brook Trout in their prime colors, fantastic scenery and photography, sit back and enjoy. http://photoshare.shaw.ca/gallery/amuir/

Two Muslim mothers are sitting in a cafe chatting over a pint of goat's milk. The older of the mothers pulls out a small album of photos and they start reminiscing... "This is my eldest son Mohamed, who would be 24 years old now..." "Yes, I remember him as a baby," says the other mother cheerfully. "He's a martyr now, though," the 1st confides. "Oh, so sad dear," says the other. "And this is my 2nd son, Kalid, who would be 21...." "Oh, I remember him," says the other happily. "He had such curly hair when he was born." "He's a martyr, too," says the 1st mum quietly. "Oh gracious me," says the other. "And this is my 3rd son. My baby. My beautiful Ahmed, who would be 18," She whispers. "Yes," says the friend enthusiastically, "I remember when he first started school." "He is a martyr, also," says mum, with tears in her eyes. After a pause and a deep sigh, the 2nd Muslim mother looks wistfully at the photographs and says........ "They blow up so fast, don't they?"

There's no such thing as OFC. Welcome to the new and improved OFC!! And... like the others have said, Moosebunks posts and awesome photography are top notch. I feel like I'm right there with him as I read along. One of these days I'll be in one of his stories. That would be an honor. MB and I have a lot in common. Too much to mention here. I'm sure that we'll get along just fine when we meet, and even better after I introduce him to that 24 inch Brook Trout that he's been waiting to catch. He is an incredible asset to OFC.

K, but I'll have to ad lib a little. I lost the original. Here goes, with a bit of modification. An OFC'er arrives home terribly drunk one night and attempts to slip quietly into bed, without his better half noticing. All goes well, so it seems. The OFC'er gets up in the morning to find his wife already in the kitchen cooking. He looks to see what she’s cooking, and sees one of his socks in the frying pan. “What are you doing?” he asks. “I’m doing exactly what you asked me to do last night when you came to bed very drunk,” she replied Completely puzzled, the man walks away thinking to himself, “I don’t remember asking her to cook my sock…”

As a new moderator here, I would have never guessed what goes on behind the scenes. Sure, I've seen the odd post disappear in the past and such. But there's much more that goes on to keep this place running that I would have never dreamed of. Kudos to the mods of the past and I hope that I can carry on the legacy that is required to keep this place a decent and fun place to chat about fishing, and whatever, and most importantly, to meet new friends. OFC is a very special place. I'm proud to be here.

When suddenly TEP and his good buddy Spiel, awoke in their nightgowns....

You'd most likely pay more for a decent brand of boat that didn't have it's name plastered on it as it would have to be custom ordered. So, I'd say that no, you are not paying more for the factory paint jobs. I think it wold be pretty boring seeing a bunch of no name boats on the water.

Awesome Whopper. Wouldn't that house look great on the shores of Hollinshead??? Merry Christmas Bud...

Are You A _____- Angler Or A Multispecies Angler?

I've always been a Trout guy. I used to live for Steelhead fishing, but eventually graduated to Brook Trout fishing. I'll target just about anything except Pike and course fish, if the time is right though. There's nothing like a good feed of Walleye. -
About 10 years ago, I was fishing for Lake Trout on the May long near Kenora. We were flat lining and our troll took us past a very productive point several times. Each time we passed, we couldn't help but notice the rotten odor in the air. Finally, we noticed a half rotten moose that apparently suffered the same fate as the moose that you saw. The ice had only been gone for a week or so before we got there so I assume that the moose broke through the thin ice near shore and couldn't pull himself out, as the shore was still covered in ice and snow. Such is nature. I'm not sure that this has anything to do with global warming as there will always be such situations every spring and fall.

Wouldn't it be easier to start a thread saying what Joey hasn't done this month?? Way to go girl!!!

A scene near Thunder Bay today.

Well, apparently it runs in the family. The cappacino machine blew up all over Rogers wifes hand yesterday. That was right before he ditched his plow truck removing snow from his neighbors driveway, which happened right before the truck died altogether. So, there's nothing new with Roger...

I can make just about anything you want out of aluminum, but I'm no pro at fixing creases. Wayne has the right idea I'd say. But be careful as aluminum stresses and fractures easily. But I'm sure Wayne knows about that too. I'd probably just leave it. Tell everyone that a big Muskie made the crease..

I don't care if they're giving stuff away for free. I'm not fighting the crowds and waiting in line ups. You know, it's not really the line ups that bother me. It's the people in them that I despise!!

Ok...this Is For Sure "probably" The Last Walleye Report.....

Great job by both of you. You guys make it look so easy. Congrats.. -
Sight fishing, and seeing whats up front of me is my game, so a console is my choice. And, although I rarely do, I have the option of battening down the hatches and putting the top up in inclement weather. From what I understand, the precision that back trolling for Walleye requires is best done with a tiller. But that's not my game. I'll stick with my console with all of my gauges right in front of me.
