  1. Agreed! Didn't see anything I was after. Very happy considering the price of admission Folks should check out Angling Outfitters deals on the Cumara, Crucial and Compre's though! Nice pricing on the new Lowrance units as well.
  2. For those interested in the Stradic MGFB's in Ontario, give Jos a call at Angling Outfitters he has them on clearout at a great price last time I checked!
  3. They are a great reel! Especially on the prices they are clearing them out at!
  4. Congrats Cliff, I really want to make sure we fish together this summer! If my dad needs any small engine work done I'll be sure to send him your way if you're taking customers

    Ice Line

For me I'm always outside never in a hut...at least for this year. Do you guys use swivels for panfishing and walleye? What lb of florocarbon do you use? I've tried the Berkley micro ice and it seemed ok. I tried the Gamma co-polymyer 4lb and it seems to be terrible. Freezes up and not supple enough. Wondering about trying the Berkley micro ice braid or the p-line at this point.
  6. Consider the Lowrance LMS-522c unit. Tons of people have it and love it. The LMS 520 is the same unit just with an external antenna. You should be able to track a used one down. If I didn't have a unit right now I'd be buying an HDS5 or 7 those are pretty slick!
  7. alot less lures and more live / gulp alive bait.
  8. Assuming they are with Bell also...try to get your work to take your number over...they'll probably make them sign a new contract but who cares? Hopefully they can take your new work phone and repurpose it.
  9. Thanks for all the replies folks I really appreciate it. As mentioned I'm looking at the elite-tech rods http://www.fenwickfishing.com/prod.php?k=3...20%281139445%29 Lots of strong opinions which is great...my preference is a Loomis or St. Croix, but may have a lead on some better pricing on Fenwicks. I can't find weight specs on the Fenwick elites, but it sounds as if they are comparable to the Avids at least?
  10. I'd have to agree...they just don't feel right compared to other brands I've been looking at.
  11. Hi all - I'm tracking down a new walleye jigging rod this year and also want a 7' multipurpose rod for casting lighter jigs etc. Looking at Shimano/Loomis/St Croix...but I was also interested in Fenwick. How do they compare to the usuals? Are they comparable in lightless and sensitivity? Never been around them but I see there are folks on here who love em. The Elite-tech walleye series looks interesting. What are your thoughts? http://www.fenwickfishing.com/prod.php?k=3...20%281139445%29
  12. I think most of the brands' 20hp 4 strokes are around the same weight as above. 25 it goes up quiet a bit.
  13. http://www.fishfinder-store.com/howfifiwo.html Mine is a 20degree as well...so I would benefit from a larger degree as well as most of my fishing is in 5-20ft of water. I don't think I can get one for my LMS-522 though
  14. I'm going to figure out duties etc...its just tough not knowing how it'll fit before it gets here. Great prices though!
  15. Has anyone heard when the BPS suits might go on sale in Toronto? I can't find a comparable suit in London anywhere so it looks like BPS or online at Cabelas is the only option for a gore-tex suit
  16. Doesnt look like London has one. Do you know where I can find some breathable ones?
  17. Hey guys - what's a good set of bib pants? I bought a wading jacket and would like to use this combo as my raingear and was wondering what are some good brands and where to buy em.
  18. By downtown I assume London? I would be bringing an ample supply of 1/8 or 1/4 jigheads and white twister tails. Trout is extremely rare to catch in the thames, but they are in there (ask jjcanoe) If you find deep pools try casting crankbaits that are noisey...its really shallow though...had my boat in there on the weekend and it was 2-3ft on average depth
  19. I often wonder if people put mattresses in certain areas of the Thames for this very reason...that river takes so many jigs & lures its not funny!
  20. Nice....saw this one on there as well http://www.youtube.com/user/factsoffishing#p/u/3/NiCsM39Q288 So funny!
  21. I've dealt with him for about a year now and sent countless friends there and he's treated everyone well. Like anywhere get an idea of what things cost and go in and check things out. He's always willing to price match most things (usually beat already) but for such a high volume shop they don't have a website - so you can tell word of mouth obviously works. So if you see something elsewhere online in Canada chances are he will be able to beat it. Not to mention the great service if you have problems with anything usually no questions asked.
  22. Angling Outfitters! Give Jocelyn a call 519-539-5494
  23. Digital is around 24-28lbs I believe. I had no issues with my old motorguide 30lb stealth that died on the side of the canoe but it was only 17lbs. Another 10lbs is signifigant off the side
  24. I don't get this rush to be in crowds of thousands waiting for a shot....you're way more likely to get it in line for it than doing your day to day routine.
